Some people mix things with it to make it tolerable. Coffee purists like to joke that "people don't like coffee, they like milkshakes with caffeine."

The people who drink black coffee are insane though.

I don't know if the OP is about the taste being awful or the effects of caffeine being awful. But caffeine is like any other drug, to achieve the same effect day after day, you need more and more.

It's good. If I had an office job I'd probably drink a lot more.

My first job I was doing the same thing I do now but had my own cubicle and so was at the office a lot more. They also had a really nice coffee machine there and I drank so much coffee. Pretty much any time I was at the office for more than an hour or so I was getting coffee.

Also it helps me poop

I guess but to me it's just strange. That much coffee can't be healthy for anyone

Some people get desensitized by drinking coffee so they’ll need more to get as jittery as folks having their first cup.

I go for coffee in the morning and tea in the afternoon, but I’d be downing cups of coffee if the office coffee didn’t taste horrible. I drink it black so I know the difference between a good cup from the house and the office’s bland bean water.

It wasn't until this past Summer that I started drinking coffee, we were working in the morning during that time, that said though I had to mix at least 2 scoops of that powder creamer stuff and a considerable amount of sugar for me to be able to drink it. One thing about that though is if I tried having a second cup within 2 hours or so after the first it'd give me the shakes.

With work normally I work afternoon - evenings, but Tuesday and Wednesday I had to come in at 5:30am to do the lead shift. I managed to get a cup of coffee from some of the ladies that were at work, but there was no sugar. I was able to pour milk into it though but all that really did was cool it down greatly, it still tasted like I was drinking water, but I was gulping that shit down, considering I got only 90 minutes of sleep the first day, and that was with 1 or 2 interruptions. The second day was easier cause I got at least 5 hours of sleep, but I tossed down that coffee in like a minute, I used chocolate milk for that one so it didn't taste like straight up water.

I drink a lot of plain matcha green tea with mint. It’s been helping me get through my intermittent fasts. Granted i use a tea bag twice and make steep tea with ice.

People at my job drink tons of coffee. I am allowed to have it but i cant drink plain iced decaf all the time.

Well i meant everything about it. The taste, the addiction, the fact that people hold up lines and progress for a fucking cup. Watching people just casually drinking shit like its liquid crack but there is little stigma around it.

I have a very personal disdain coffee.

Same. I havent had coffe in like going on a month prolly.. I can't drink it black though I have to cream and sugar the fuck out of it so... I just tend to say meh. antioxidants aside I have no need for it. If you are a coffee fanatic I don't really harbor any ill will to ya though I guess. Just don't act like you arent addicted to a substance if that is you..

It took me just about 26/27 years of my life before I finally started drinking coffee, it being a case where I had to keep forcing myself to drink it before I was finally able to put up with it.

I'm sure there are types out there that are better, but I've only ever had that shit that comes in those red plastic containers with black tops. With that I have to mix creamer and sugar to make it bearable. And the only time I drink coffee is whenever I end up having to do the lead shift at my workplace, that starting at 5:30am, or throughout summer where we all come in at 7am

Seconded.  It's disgusting.  I've considered it poison since 1987.  Smells awful too.

I'm irrationally against it.....Like I can come in to work some days and people are like "oh boy, someone already made coffee" and I sit there and think "It'll never be me, you fucking junkies".....I love when the receptionist doesn't get there first and it just smells like bleach.....Drink that shit, fuckers.

I have a special coffee/espresso maker.  Makes very strong coffee well.  4 cups is easily achievable in one brew and it's very tasty.  I do get caffeine jitters if I drink too much also.

I usually just have one cup in the morning. I’ll occasionally get a second cup in the afternoon if I’m feeling too tired to function, but I try not to have to do that because office coffee is gross. I have to throw so much creamer and sugar in it - still gross, but a bit more tolerable this way.

I only do 2 large cups.  After I found out I couldn't handle HFCSs, sodas were out.  A while ago, I started getting very tired of overly sweet drinks, so coffee was something I could alter to my tastes.  I did tea for awhile, but I didn't feel that I was satiated as far as hydration.

I finally found a flavor of coffee I like (hazelnut) and prefer it without any modifications.  I'll occasionally get a frozen mocha, but not very often anymore.

It really bothers me when offices have shit coffee or the alternative that whoever is the person who's been working there 25 years waters the coffee down so fucking much that it is rank water.

It's actually the opposite at my work, lol. I mean, whatever brand of coffee they get is gross. But I'm also in an office full of attorneys, so they actually make it twice as strong as it's supposed to be. It's nasty...

If the coffee is bad, making it strong still wont help 🤣

I don't drink as much as I used to because I put the actual machine away and use a French press instead. Not for pretentious reasons :D - I was supposed to cut all caffeine out while on ulcer meds so I just made it harder to make coffee instead.

But when I do drink coffee, I make the whole bitch. And use a smaller cup so I can pretend its a lot. I find it relaxing and can usually take a nap after.
