How many cigarettes have you had in your life?

I just did some simple math and estimation and my number comes to around 15k. That might seem like a lot, until you compare my number to Packard's. He has at least 500k.

15k is still yikes to me though.

25 years @ a pack a day (just a guess, sometimes it was more and sometimes far less).

20*365*25=

182,500
but that's ok. the number i've smoked since june 3 2018=

0

Congrats, honestly. I've been smoking on and off since I was 15. I estimate I have about 2 pack years total.

I smoked about half a pack per day for about 5 or 6 years.

5.5 years x .5 packs per day x 20 cigarettes in a pack x 365 days in a year = 20,075 approximate cigarettes

I tried 1 when I turned 18 just to see what it was about ....

I  didnt like it xD

Nothing wrong with just trying. I was coughing a bit with my first, but I liked it. It's what sucks about abstinence; I actually enjoy smoking. I just don't enjoy it enough to deal with the negative consequences.

How much $$

Making me do fucking math homework. ¬¬ Well, I know you live in New York, which has the most expensive cigarette taxes in the country. I'm just gonna set the price at 10 per pack.

20,075 / 20 =1003.75. Let's just say 1000. 1000*10 = 10,000 dollars.

Ouch. I never smoked through my nose. Sounds painful. Would occasionally exhale smoke through my nostrils though.

that's called French inhale.

French inhale is when you let smoke escape from your mouth and inhale it through your nostrils.

Well thats the cheapest drug I've consumed then.

None. My dad smoked the majority of is life and had multiple heart attacks and lung cancer that killed him last year. That's enough of a reason for me to never try them.

I'm not sure, but I ran out of fingers in 1973. Rough guess is about half a million, give or take.

Less than 20.  Unless you count all the 2nd hand stuff from being around my 5 pack a day Dad.

BTW - Stage 4 isn't pretty.  Quit if you can.
