bnmjy Posted July 7, 2018 Posted July 7, 2018 Steve Irwin, mainly because of all things a fucking stingray killed him. 1
GuyBeardmane Posted July 7, 2018 Posted July 7, 2018 Chris Benoit. Then it turned out he went full crazy and killed his wife and son, so after I had time to process everything I don't feel too bad now.
nameraka Posted July 7, 2018 Posted July 7, 2018 Bowie. i kind of thought he was immortal. also bourdain. He basically had the life I’ve always dreamed of... and he killed himself. 2

Bordain's death fucked with me way more than i expected. He had a philosophy that played a role in my getting out of depression. His death by suicide really got me. Between him and Robin Williams. And now I'm sad. 2
tsar4 Posted July 7, 2018 Posted July 7, 2018 I don't know about bothered, but Freddie Mercury surprised the heck out of me - he announced he had AIDS, and then he was gone. 2
Still Me Posted July 7, 2018 Posted July 7, 2018 betty white she aint dead yet but im preparing myself for the heartache
blueraven1999 Posted July 7, 2018 Posted July 7, 2018 Harold Ramis. I've been a huge Ghostbusters fan since I was a kid. Robin Williams and Michael Jackson are a close second and third though. 4
Doom Metal Alchemist Posted July 7, 2018 Posted July 7, 2018 (edited) Ronnie James Dio. Other than him, calling this guy a "celebrity" is REALLY pushing it, but Geoff Nichols' death bothered me quite a bit too. Edited July 7, 2018 by Doom Metal Alchemist

molarbear Posted July 8, 2018 Posted July 8, 2018 Probably Darryl Kile I just remember thinking here's this dude, married with 3-4 kids and barely in the prime of his life, dead from a massive heart attack
RainyDayJizz#35 Posted July 8, 2018 Posted July 8, 2018 I think that's when deaths get to me, when it's a young person from natural or certain other causes. Like Brittany Murphy was pretty sad cause she makes me wonder if being a celebrity killed her. 1

Didn't I read like a feel good story about him checking up on a suicidal Trekkie? Like he was legit conference she wasn't showing up to his appearances anymore.
tsar4 Posted July 8, 2018 Posted July 8, 2018 After thinking about the term "affected", I guess for me it would have been the trio of JFK, MLK & RFK. Afterward, I decided being "important or famous" wasn't a good thing. 1

Idk if you remember the concert I used to host, but I met Maya as she was one of the conductors we got to do our shindig... She was kind of a bitch... But I figured it was just that I was white. 1
discolé monade Posted July 8, 2018 Posted July 8, 2018 (edited) i do remember. and i think you mentioned her being the conductor, but, i didn't know she was 'kind of a bitch' my aunt's friend was a good friend of hers, and he always said she was quite stand offish. but generally a very nice person. *edit~and because you are white. totz* Edited July 8, 2018 by discolemonade

But then again, he was Canadian, so maybe he was just being polite.
