PhilosipherStoned Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 the same one I failed last year. I failed last year though because I lost my job during christmas and thought I would be broke come this time this year anyway..but tonight is the last time for me to drink alcoholic beverages.
katt_goddess Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Small goals - Clean the apartment up a bit and maybe rearrange some of the contents of the bookshelves. Some of the categories need to be revamped. Read 100 books by Labor Day. Big goal - I'm going to attempt to empty the Mystery Closet. I think the last time I peeked in there, Mr. T floated by wearing my officer's outfit. It's worse than a TARDIS in there.
PhilosipherStoned Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 You have a mystery closet? Can you pull some cool shit out for me I didn't get anything for christmas.

There's no way of knowing what's in the mystery closet. It just generates things. You'd probably end up with a deformed Vegeta figure with Narato's ass attached. 1
Kudasai Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 I only have two 1. Increase my hockey watching 2. Watch more non action oriented anime

It indicates that the overall sentiment is very negative...I'm going to do searches for only positive things. Probably just a drop in the universe, but I'm going to try to not add to the negativity.
mochi Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 I don't set goals because I know I won't keep them but the closest thing to a Resolution I have is to finally actually finish one of my written stories (like the Gay Disney prince Novel, the Young Adult Gay novel, or the fanservicey anime parody webcomic I keep talking about) 1

Ain't nothing like doin' it. Finishing a story is balls. Them final words dribble on outa ya and you're all shaky all over, cause you realize you just did what you had been in the process of doing... Ain't nothing like finishing, dawg. 1
TrigunBebop Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 My new years resolution is to not have a new years resolution. Wait...

Once you go 72 hours without a smoke, there is no nicotine left in your body, and it is all in your head. Altoids help a lot. I quit cold turkey from 2 packs a day over 14 years ago. It can be done.
Chapinator_X Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 1. Get toned up with some muscle. 2. Move out. 3. Find a full time job that pays more and has insurance. 4. Save up for an engagement ring.

GuyBeardmane Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 I'm gonna write. Poems, stories, essays, something. Just make sure I write at least a hundred words a day. 1

In an old episode of Key and Peele, the titular two wondered what ever happened to rap GROUPS? There are still plenty of rappers... But where are the rap GROUPS? I bring this up, because having a full band is what's gotten me to this point. I play guitar, and my band has a singer, a drummer, a bass player, and a second guitarist. Without these individuals, I would still be nowhere. I don't know if it's feasible for you to start a rap group, as according to Key and Peele, rap groups are a thing of the past... but bringing in several other musicians to help cultivate my vision has helped me tremendously.
Bouvre Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 (edited) I didn't get a chance to read as many books as I wanted to during the year of moving/working on my thesis/working full time, so I'm returning to my favorite fallback of reading more. Just today, I read the entirety of Banana Yoshimoto's Kitchen in one sitting, which is the kind of reading I haven't done since VanderMeer's Annihilation Edited January 2, 2018 by Bouvre
