naraku360 Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Tell them the truth. Sexual activity and use of IV drugs are the highest risk factors, condom or no condom. So, you're arguing to teach them that condoms are useless and to not bother with them? Like, yes, AIDS can transfer through needles, but you don't seem to be arguing that. You seem to be arguing that sex is equally risky with condoms as it is without, which is a stupid curriculum.

What makes it stupid? Guys, keep the bull in the pen. Gals, keep your skirts down and your legs closed. Risk eliminated. We're not supposed to be encouraging sexual activity.
Sawdamizer Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 The fact you can't get laid, does not mean we shouldn't encourage people to fuck.

We're not supposed to be encouraging sexual activity. Because the risk isn't equal. While condoms don't protect from all STDs, when used correctly they protect from many STDs (including AIDS, so long as they're not using dirty needles - but that's typically discussed in sex ed) as well as pregnancy. Telling teens to simply not have sex because "condoms are useless" would lead to kids having sex without condoms > higher rate of pregnancies and STD spread. The point isn't to prevent teens from having sex, because that never, ever works in the history of humanity. The point is damage reduction by teaching safe sex so if they're going to do it, which they are, they at least be as safe as possible.

naraku360 Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 So, when you have herp later on... Am I supposed to accept another tax hike to pay for your medical claims? Literally 90% of the population has herpes. You more than likely have herpes. It's borderline harmless.
1938 Packard Posted September 20, 2017 Author Posted September 20, 2017 It's borderline harmless. Until the festering, scab like boils appear.
naraku360 Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Until the festering, scab like boils appear. Nope, those are pretty harmless as well. Irritating at most. They can also be cleared up within a day or two via basic hygiene or ointment. Hell, hygiene prevents most outbreaks for that matter. If you're this scared of [lol] herpes, you should be careful. I hear there's this really scary disease that's not even a STD. It's called...... the common cold! *gasp*
