What Are You Thinking About?

Worried about starting my new job Tuesday.

I was looking forward to being stuck in a new hire orientation class and not having to think until probably the next week. Only they approved me to start before the new hire class so I guess it'll be straight on the job training.

Waiting to a reasonable time to text my new manager to the job I haven't started to see if I can take myself and kid to get covid tests instead of starting on my first day.

I hope they can just push back my start date

.... and they don't go ... welp .... no job for you and I lose my job

Well I know what I'm like having sex. I'm just curious about other people. I'm sure nobody has sex the same and porn is weird.

Gotta get those optimal shots. I just saw a porn meme of some dude sticking his whole hand in this lady's mouth and Im like .... what are we even doing?!

Anything is sexual if you believe it

Waiting for Walgreens to get my spironolactone refills in. The pharmacy counter was closed today because of the holiday, and I'm critically low on Spyro the Dragon. Worried I'll run out. I also got a Facebook post from my mom's best friend, "Anna", about Walgreens' server fucking up most of their Delaware locations because of the damage from remnants of Hurricane Ida, thus delaying refills for people. Not sure if my local store is one of the affected stores, though.

Meanwhile, I'm now looking into bottom surgery. I'm debating with myself on whether I want to have orchiectomy first, then do electrolysis/laser hair removal and go back for vaginoplasty at a later date or to just have a vaginoplasty in one fell swoop. Either way, I won't have to take spiro anymore, only estradiol. But the next time I see my hormone doctor, I may ask her about adding progesterone to the mix.

This prompts a question which there is no delicate way to ask, but please don't be insulted; it's out of genuine curiosity.

Do transwomen do menopause? That is, assuming that one has completely transitioned, do they start tapering the hormones around the age when a normal physiological menopause would occur?

3 day weekends aren’t worth it when you cram 5 days of work in to 4 days.

Disagree. I've been working 4 10's for almost three years now. 3 day weekends are SO worth those extra two hours a day.

THOUGH since you are salary, maybe you're working like 14 hour days or something ridiculous, in which case I would definitely see your point.

Different industries.

and yes. I typically work 12 to 15 hour days, but I have flexibility to break those up and work early in the morning too based on business needs.

but my point remains the same for my team, as they had off yesterday, but will work through two days of work in one day.

Oof, now I see. I assumed the lost day's work would be spread out over the rest of the week.

The only way we can go through menopause is if we went off our estrogen entirely. We trans women can't make our own estrogen so we have to take it for life, even after having bottom surgery. The only thing we don't have to take after having orchi and/or vaginoplasty/vulvoplasty is testosterone-blockers. We can go on a lower dose of estrogen, but we can't go off it entirely.

That said, I couldn't sleep last night knowing I was down to my last spiro pill. I'll have to call the pharmacy about the refill. Maybe I might call my insurance, too, and see what's going on. First, the pharmacy received my order, then they texted me the next day saying it was too soon to refill. How the hell is that too early when I had a few pills left in the bottle? Hence why I'm now looking into orchi. Think I might do that first, follow up with electrolysis, then go back to have a vaginoplasty at a later date.
