Trumpist Insurrection in DC

A] The same people who think Drumpf can do no wrong no matter what will not see a mob breaking things and shitting on the walls even while watching the tapes showing a mob breaking things and shitting on the walls. They already saw what they want to believe from the cherry-picked special edition from Pucker, anything that doesn't continue to feed that delusion will be called fake news and AI.

2] The main reason given for not openly releasing all the things was the angles of the videos will show exactly where the cameras are located, even the ones that aren't 100% obvious.

These are actual facts and not sarcastic 'reasonable responses'.

Will any of those on the court who have received bribes from mega-republican donors and/or have anyone personally under scrutiny for being PART of Jan 6th and/or were put on the court by said Orange Lard recuse themselves?

Because in all honesty, unless that happens the only acceptable answer to that case is that yes, those that actively participated in Jan 6th are 100% to be held to account for their actions that day that were done purely to obstruct an official governmental proceeding. If someone speaking out of turn at a city hall meeting can be hauled away in cuffs, someone busting through glass doors with a mob chanting about hanging the VP and rampaging through the place smearing feces on the walls and tearing out the panic buttons in any female Democrat's office they could break down the door to get into should absolutely be hauled away and dropped in a hole. Any other answer will be suspect.

I would've posted a laughing gif except that this whole thing absolutely fucking sucks.

Rudy Giuliani must pay about $148 million in damages to two former Georgia election workers whose lives were upended after the former New York City mayor falsely accused them of manipulating ballots in 2020, a federal jury determined Thursday.

The eight-member panel awarded Ruby Freeman and her daughter Shaye Moss about $16 million apiece for claims that Giuliani defamed them, as well as $20 million apiece for the emotional distress they experienced after Giuliani’s allegations were followed by a deluge of threats, harassment and professional consequences.

The jury of Washington, D.C. residents also determined that Giuliani must pay $75 million in “punitive” damages, a penalty intended to deter him and others from engaging in similar smear campaigns in the future.

The verdict came after about 10 hours of deliberations and an unusual four-day trial in which the jury’s only task was to make damage awards, since U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell already ruled Giuliani liable due to his failure to comply with her earlier orders to turn over evidence related to the case.

Everyone enjoy your gifts this morning courtesy of the Three Kings Qanon Shaman?

It looked like someone pressed their ass against one of the garage doors of an apartment complex I cut through for work and let it blast.

Someone is going to enjoy that if it ever melts.

To be fair, no lawyer that values having their license is willing to represent him.

No lawyer that plans on getting paid should be willing to represent him.

Lawyer Gaming Sticker is going to be selling her bathwater online in order to pay her bills from this soon.

Legal experts at JustSecurity.com have an expected timeline for when Trump's federal trial related to Jan. 6 could begin and end. This is based on Trump's filing constitutional claims on the novel idea of presidential immunity.

Long story short: the experts think Trump's immunity claims will fail and the U.S. Supreme Court will reject, and Trump will stand criminal trial before election day. An expected start date of a trial range from June 1 to July 15, with expected end date ranging from Sept. 1 to Oct. 30.  Earlier or later in those dates depends on whether the Supreme Court agrees to grant cert and hear oral arguments or not.

Ive maintained that the GA case against Trump was always the strongest, now I dont even know if it gets to trial. Fani Wilis appears to have fucked this up so royally that the entire case in GA might collapse.

so what you're saying is that willis is the ONLY one to try this case? like...because of this snafu...trump walks?
is that what you think?

Regarding the DC trial, we are currently at a moment that will tell us how the U.S. Supreme Court is feeling about Trump's claim of presidential immunity, which has to be decided before the trial can begin.

Yesterday was the deadline the DC Circuit gave Trump to file appeal, which he did just before the deadline expired.

Two things could happen: 1. If the U.S. Supreme Court is inclined to hear the case, they would most likely immediately grant cert to hear it. 2. If they are NOT inclined to hear it, they will likely grant a stay for a limited amount of time (say 10 days) and demand the defense and prosecution make a final case for each of their sides. This is to give the defense one last chance to convince them to take the case.

So, depending on what the Supreme Court does in the next few days (immediately agrees to hear it or sets a deadline to hear one last briefing on the matter), it'll tell you how quickly this is going to play out.

It’s such bullshit garbage.  having a past sexual relationship w one of the prosecuting attorneys is a fuck up?  If she were a dude this wouldn’t even be an issue.  If we’re expected to believe Justice Thomas can be objective concerning Jan 6 (his wife was involved)  and he’s fine accepting gifts worth millions then Willis appointing someone she had a tryst with is not an issue.

How did they gain financially from it?  Not that igaf if they had, it doesn’t make that phone call Trump had w the Sec of the State of  GA any less real, or any other text or audio evidence they might have.

If financial gains are the ultimate evil in all this, then what do they call all the 'gimme moneis to fight the evil weaponized governments!' ads that get pumped out with every lost motion? :disassociate:
