Yeah, I'm sure PA's losers are a reliable source. Couldn't be any conflict of interest, huh?

OH NO P-P-P-POSTCARDS?!?! TO IMMIGRANTS THE END IS NIGH!

What, are they going to vote with fucking postcards. Like, I've been civil lately but even you have to admit what you're doing is downright pathetic.

1. Errors happening in a nationwide election? 😯

2. "Up to 6,000" in a state won by 10,000.... I'm no mathemagician or nothin but I'm pretty sure 10,000 is more than 6,000, so even worst case scenario it doesn't matter.

3. Trump lost 232 to 306. Arizona is worth 11. Huh, seems like Biden still won, doesn't it?

4. The combined total of all 3 states you listed, including the absurd postcard nonsense, the difference gose from a 70 point Biden victory to.... a 30 point victory for Buden.

So even the most generous reading of this still leaves Trump as the loser.

Dude, he lost. He's a lame duck. A loser. A moron incapable of beating the least energizing person not named Bloomberg in the country. He's a fraud, a clown, a buffoon, a big fan of Epstein's pedo paradise, a serial wife beater, a tax dodger, a narcissist, and a thin skinned baby. Your favorite fart inhalation device is the type of crusty demon that creates fake universities and steals $100,000 from a charity he set up for kids with cancer because he wanted a self-portrait while unironically shitting into a fool's gold plated toilet. For all your concerns about Clinton's emails, you seem oddly cool with this sack of irredeemable koala-brained shit stealing nuclear documents. But sure, you just want a "civil conversation" while never, ever responding to any point of contention because you are, bar none, the biggest coward I have ever met.

Quit being such a pitiful coward and move on with your fucking life. You. Fucking. Lost. Your guy is a vile monster and you damn well know it.  Accept it, bitch. Your incessant whining is a blight on the site. We all know you're a liar on the mere basis that you are absolutely atrocious at it.

Grow up, crybully.

But but but that's not the real issue!

The real issue is the economy! [ jobs are everywhere...including all the jobs that were promised but failed under the previous administration... ]

No! It's inflation! [ you voted against inflation fighting measures because it would be paid for by rich people actually having to pay their taxes... ]

No! No! High costs! Yeah, stick with 'high costs' ! [ you voted against measures that would smack price gougers while the oil companies recorded record profits... ]

Mental Health!!!1! [ you voted against funding anything about mental health issues, especially mental health issues for children... ]

Voting fraud must be stopped at all costs! [ so, no more votes from golf courses then or what? ... ]

Republicans: We Work for You by giving the rich everything so you have to work 60 hour weeks for them in order to afford a cardboard box to sleep in...

This November we're going to have multiple Rittenhouses using their 2nd ammendment to protect the vote.

Guaranteed.

Then people will shoot back.  That’s the inevitable result of this rhetoric.  People shoot, others shoot back.  Is that what you want to hear?

I remember when the native Americans shot back.

Worked out great for them.

No, i don't want to hear about shootouts at the polls.

But guess what?

We don't live in a functioning democracy any more.

So, this report from the Intercept came out.

I am genuinely shocked at the scope and scale of the censorship that the Government has been engaging in. It needs to be investigated publicly and those participating need to be fired/held to account. Collusion to subvert/influence elections, suppress information on the origins of Covid, the withdrawal of forces in Afghanistan, broad-based warrant-less surveillance of social media and that is probably the tip of the iceberg.

I haven't finished reading the entire report, but it sure looks like this is a very big story. Expect no legacy sources to mention this however.

David DePape is a leftist Green party nudist activist with mental health issues.

This is a case of "The Left invariably turns on itself".

Whose social media presence consists of all the hits that republicans have embraced as pushed by the pedo known as 'Q'.

If what he believes in qualifies as a 'mental health issue' then you are admitting that all the republicans embracing those same batshit crazy conspiracies are also mentally ill. And therefore incapable of holding public office.

I don't think I'm bothering to vote this time, even though I get to vote for Fetterman vs Oz. I live near Fetterman's town he was once the mayor of, Braddock, and it's pretty much a shithole with few improvements. He only became popular because he often wore athletic shorts and a T-shirt instead of the usual business attire of politicians.

Congress ain't gonna do shit even with Democrats back in power, so I really just don't care anymore.

Apathy is the death of democracy.

I can easily spout trite sayings too. American democracy is shit. You're only voting for one side that supports corporate welfare while the other side only pretends to be against it and only slightly hampers its progress. The abortion decision happened with Democrats in power, and don't say there's nothing that could have been done about it. There's supposed to be a system of checks and balances, and obviously the Supreme Court now has too much power.

Both sides are the same.

Oh wait no one side tries to overthrow democracy and murder their political opponents.

As if there aren't people on the Left wanting the same thing to be done. It's just that the Left has developed an inconvenient aversion to guns. If they bothered to love them as much as the Right, you can see the hilarious hypocrisy over second amendment rights show its true colors. But I know, the Right was the one to storm the Capitol, so I really can't say they are the same in that regard. As for democracy, Democrats have this stupid thing called superdelegates that allowed Hillary to be chosen as the candidate over Bernie.

A week out and a couple things are becoming clear. Supposed swing states Texas, Florida, and Colorado are non-competitive races. TX and FL are going to go Red, and CO is going Blue. These states cant really be considered swing states by any means. Florida was, but its solidly Red. Colorado was, but its solidly Blue. Texas never was, but people wanted to say it was anyways.

Georgia is looking increasingly likely to swing Red as well.  Kemp is going to win easily, and it sure looks like he is pulling Walker across the line as well.

PA has swung back to Fetterman after the initial bounce to Oz after the debate.

Nevada is going to be extremely close and could be the race that decides the Senate.

AZ is a total wildcard right now. It looks like the GOP is going to win the Governors race, but the Democrat is currently leading in the Senate race. So we may see something incredibly rare in AZ, massive amounts of vote splitting.

RCP has the GOP winning the Senate 53-47 as of today. Thats a possibility, but I still dont think any party wins the Senate with more than a 51-49 majority. If the GOP does win it 53-47 then it will be because of a huge red wave that carries some horrible candidates across the finish line.

The House is gone at this point.  There's zero chance that Democrats hold it anymore. Its very clear that the GOP are going to win it, its just a question of by how much.  Poll after poll continues to show the GOP taking the House.

Just want to mention here that if the Republicans solidly take Congress, they will do everything in their power to clear the way for Trump or DeSantis to win in 2024.

Yep, you sure can say trite things.

I'm not going to criticize you for not wanting to vote or for feeling like your vote doesn't matter, but I will for acting like this lazy stance is somehow a validation of it.  Voting isn't an end all, nor is it a compensation for personal inaction.

We're supposed to be voting for the people who will do what we would do in their situation, not people who will magically fix all the problems that our fellow citizens create for us.  For better or worse, Republicans seem to get that and do, in fact, vote for the people that would do what they would do right down to the part about trampling the rights of people that don't look or think like them and publicly cheering the demise of politicians they blame for their problems.  It's easy for them to do that, too - these voters are happy with the racism and bigotry as long as they keep getting what they have.  Democrats, or liberals in general, don't have a collective idea of what they want to do, and quite often, what an ultra liberal wants to do is directly in opposition to what a moderate wants.  That's endemic with a society where there is a large gap between the rich and the poor, and it comes from a deeper and simpler social malaise than political divisions.

Maybe if you were honest with yourself, you would have admitted that the reason you don't want to vote is because you don't see either candidate helping you.  There's nothing wrong with saying that, but it also comes with added responsibility of knowing what activism you need engage in to get what you want.

Everything else you said is basically true, and I'm not gonna argue over it. However, I think I made this paragraph right here quite clear. You make this seem almost shameful, when this is a common reason people don't vote and most people are slacktivists when it comes to advocacy.

Not voting isn't itself a problem; doing nothing is.  Part of the problem with phrasing your disdain in "slacktivist" terms is that if gives the impression that you're doing nothing else.  People not participating in advocacy is shameful, especially in a society where the very right to be an activist is protected for now.  The people you're enabling to win by not voting would certainly love to curtail your right to advocate for yourself.

That being said, it's not easy being an advocate even if we have the right to do it unmolested.  You can't just advocate for your own personal needs, you have to advocate for everyone who is in your position.  You also have to understand how your needs impact others and what you need to do to get others to invest in you.  It sounds daunting, but it's really about listening and keeping an open mind about how others paths can still get you to your goals.

Have you forgotten I am also a citizen of Japan, a country that actually has collectivist ideals?

I'll leave it at that.
