We get ice sometime tonight. In a related story, my current job is the same as where I used to work, in that its winter weather policy is "You don't have to come up here, but we will be open." :|

Didn't the polar vortex show up last year too? I'm starting to wonder how Texans are beginning to feel about climate change.

We'll have the summertime for that. I forgot what era we had a mini ice age, 16 to 18 hundreds. Apparently winter festivals became a big thing.

1650s-1710s.  Amazing what a few volcanos popping off can do for natural air conditioning.

Whoops - forgot.  The Thames froze over, which I guess it never did before or since in recorded history.

I took a trash can out just in case they decided to pick up today, and swear to god the wheels never touched the driveway, I had to drag the fucker from the garage to the side of the road.

So ... we got the last bit of the snow today. If I had gone to work today I would have been stranded at work. So ..  like maybe I can get to work Friday ...(?)

This is my plan too, but I'm semi-concerned because my boss texted Tuesday night that they were closed yesterday, but I haven't heard about today yet.

My job never closed XD

The more dedicated employees are spending the nights at the hotel next door instead of going home
