Worst pain you've ever experienced?

Second place - when I became fully awake during my second jaw surgery and I couldn't be put back under. You'd think this would be first place but a lot of it was purely psychological terror which just ramped everything to hell. Pretty sure a blood spray counts more as a terror thing than a pain thing but it added to the pain of the moment.

First place - recovery room after my gall bladder surgery. Woke up absolutely in gut wrenching pain, IV in my arm [ I can't stand IV's so I probably looked like a stroke victim because I was not moving that arm for anything but everything else wanted to twitch and curl in on itself :D ] , throat torn from the breathing tube so worst sore throat ever, pain meds didn't work at all. They finally injected something into the IV that I could feel burning through my veins, individually. Made me violently ill but then I was able to pass back out. Had to spend the night in the hospital.

My dad grew up in Hawaii and as a kid got stung by many a man o' war and jellyfish... he says jellyfish are much worse, but I've heard other people claim otherwise. While my family and aunt and uncle's family were vacationing in Hawaii my cousin got stung by a man o' war... he was miserable for days.... I think he had to get something from the pharmacy to help with the pain, if I remember correctly.

Emotional....Physical pain is fucking awesome.

I never put myself in situations for physical pain much in my life.... Off the top of my head the worst physical pain I can recall is when I was like 12 years old I was trying to pick up my brother's skateboard ramp, and dropped it and slammed my fingers between it and the ground.

I think I have to agree with buddy that emotional pain is worse than any physical pain I've experienced.... I sure wouldn't say physical pain is awesome though.

We had a football game and the field was all wet, a guy hit my knee and my other leg slid so I ended up on my back doing the splits in about .03 of a second

To add insult to injury as I was laying there thinking everything down stairs had been ripped apart and my legs were broke, a guy got knocked back and his foot stomped down right on my cup

At the time I thought I was dying.....I later found out I had a muscle strain

I suppose it depends on what kind of jelly. Australian box jellyfish can kill you. The ones I experienced growing up in Florida were not that bad.

The compacted wisdom tooth with only local anesthetic. They'd pulled so hard at that tooth I remember my head coming off the chair while the dentist laughed at the tooth's stubbornness.

I don't remember my fractured arm, which I remember being painful at five. But I strongly remember recovery from that dentist visit. I responded poorly to Vicodin from the first procedure, so I only had basic acetaminophen to deal with the pain.
