Insipid Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 These are official terms used by the CDC. I am a current light drinker. I haven't had a heavy drinking day in years. 1 Quote
[classic swim] Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Current heavier drinker. Although I do know when to take a break. Sometimes it can be small(ish) doses each day, or I can just have one good solid day of it and then go cold turkey for most of the week. 1 Quote
Icarus27k Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Former infrequent drinker. I'm surprised it's been over a year. 1 Quote
Neubauten Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 (edited) Current moderate drinker. I love my sour beers. Well maybe heavy drinker if they're like counting my 8.5% beers as "two drinks" Edited April 26, 2023 by Neubauten 1 Quote

No one having 12 drinks in a year has any business drinking with me for an hour Congrats tho....March was 3 years for me. Edited April 30, 2023 by André Toulon 3 Quote

Insipid Posted September 6, 2023 Author Posted September 6, 2023 (edited) Bump because this may soon become outdated. The US may have a guideline similar to Canada's. https://www.ccsa.ca/sites/default/files/2023-05/CGAH-Drinking-Less-is-Better-en.pdf If you don't feel like opening that, light drinking is 2 drinks or fewer a week, moderate is up to 6 drinks a week regardless of gender, and heavy is anything more. And here's a more detailed report if you're bored: https://www.ccsa.ca/sites/default/files/2023-01/CCSA_Canadas_Guidance_on_Alcohol_and_Health_Final_Report_en.pdf Edited September 6, 2023 by Insipid Quote
Lynnrael Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 well shit, I'm somewhere between light and moderate but that seems like more than i actually drink considering I can go months without drinking or even caring to get drunk luckily this isn't about weed use though Quote

Gemini Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 Current infrequent drinker. Last beer I had was a Guinness. Quote
Real_AirCooledGirl Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 I drink very infrequently. When I do drink, I go for mead or beer. Most blitzed I got was at a New Year's Eve party. I had a bottle of mead and three bottles of Guinness. All of a sudden, I started speaking in a Brooklyn accent. Quote

Although every now and again at concerts things are cool and unified, especially the clouds coming off people's heads in the mosh pits.
