What Are You Thinking About?

I'm trying to remove things from my life that cause more harm than good. I've already removed toxic people so that's helped. And now I'm wiping my reddit account with gibberish before blocking it altogether. I need to spend more time on my mental health, physical health, and hobbies. I already feel better and the script isn't even done running lol. If I want to communicate online, I'm going to be a lot stricter about what I view, where I go, and who I communicate with.

I thought Tyler Perry was good in a supporting role in the first Abramsverse Star Trek movie. Granted, it wasn't a big supporting role, but it was an important one in the context of the movie.

As much as I hate to say it, it could come down to writing as well. You could take Daniel Day-Lewis or Idris Elba and cast them in a shot-for-shot remake of Plan 9 From Outer Space using Ed Wood's original script. No matter how talented you may be as an actor, you can only do so much if the script you're working with is absolute shit.

The writing can be a factor, but Perry has a whole different energy level when playing Madea. He really lets loose into that persona and can actually be funny sometimes when that character isn't steeped in his horrible ideas about romantic relationships and gender roles.

I'm still annoyed that Sharpe bungled that part of the interview when Katt Williams was talking about leaving his brothers with their abusive father. Dude jumped in with blunt as fuck questions without letting Williams chill a little, and Williams immediately shut down and changed the subject.

Good God it’s cold today.

Also I’m now sure they tested my blood pressure wrong a few months ago at that urgent care I ran to.  Yesterday it tested perfectly normal.  Still, I should keep up my diet and alcohol limitations.  It’s definitely helping me day to day.

I'm not a fan of urgent cares. I didn't know anything about them until my first visit to one in 2014 and I've avoided them like the plague ever since. It was so bad that when they called an ambulance to take me to the hospital, the paramedics whispered to me, "Don't come here, they don't know what they're doing". lol Then last year a nurse friend, and his doctor wife, told me the same thing - avoid urgent cares if you can. Obviously that's not always an option but I try my damndest to stay out of them now.

That said, congrats on your diet changes, I understand how even the smallest things can drastically improve how you feel.

What's with this Dry January shit? Boomers drinking themselves too much to an early grave? Young people are drinking much less these days.

Maybe everyone had that revelation at once cutting back was a good thing.

Is it safe to eat a frozen dinner when the plastic wrap that covers the food is slightly peeled back, but the box itself is fine?

I mean, I guess it’s too late. I ate it anyway.

New question: How soon is this going to kill me (nutritional “value” notwithstanding)? I have shit to do this week.

It may be fine, or it may be not. If you're going to get food poisoning from it, you may indeed have shit to do tomorrow, or it may be down the line a bit; it depends on the infecting organism. Good luck, and stock up on Gatorade.
