André Toulon
I haven't had any in my house since I moved here....I just don't see why people like or need it. If you like your food spicy, just season it so. The vineagry pepper taste just doesn't seem to enhance my food. I prefer olive oil infused with red chili peppers.....It's gives me the heat I want without completely mutating the flavor of my food. I made shepherd's pie and since my lady likes hot sauce and keeps a bottle here, I decided to add some since it's been ages since I've used it......Like a fart in my fucking mouth. Sriracha is ok but that's not the same shit and you don't just pour it on everything.
Zenigundam
I love it, but it really messed up my stomach when I doused my Cajun fries in about 6 or 7 of those hot sauce packets a week or two ago.
quebecelegy
for a while when i was living off of just beans and rice i'd just douse the shit out of them with light hot sauce cause there's only so many meals of the same thing you can take. Plus capsaicin can bring out flavors and natural umami of fooda you normally wouldnt notice. Its not for everyone but i am a legitimate foodie so i enjoy all food and will give anything a shot once. My taste allows me to enjoy literally everything, and actually sometimes i wouldnt mind appreciating how some people cant deal with certain textures of food. I dont get that concept. Wish i did for a day. It all taste good to me.
naraku360
I don't care if something is hot or not. I like the taste of some things that are spicy and don't like others.
Israeli_Jericho941
I like hot sauce if it enhances a bland meal... Other than that, right there with ya. Some people like hot for the sake of hot and all I can ask is why even eat the food of you can't taste it? Raptorpat
the closest i come is chicken wings except I have to admit to myself that I hit a point where medium sauce is fucking with my intestines and I should probably just lay off for the good of my digestive health
NaBarney
I love hot sauce. They're not all vinegary. Stand in the aisle and compare ingredients in different bottles, make sure the first isn't vinegar. Try Tapatio and Cholula, they are best
Codename: Jackass
I just like the vinegar to cut the heaviness of fatty food and it makes my mouth tingle.
jackiemarie90
Some people bring up a good way to eat blandish food. I like it on boiled eggs, and have put it on some real bland soup before. lol

JehutyNinja
I like the vinegary bite on things like eggs and pizza. But you're right, for the most part I don't even use it and I love hot sauce. Just kind of not practical to have around especially you're the only one who likes it.
GunStarHero
I keep Cholula, ginger dressing, and sweet chili sauce on hand at home most of the time but that's about it. Feels like a lot of hot sauce is explicitly made as an instrument in the masochist's field kit.
Chapinator_X
It adds a solid amount of spice to food that needs it. I vastly prefer the sauces with more pepper to it like Cholula though because those mesh with food a lot better and you don't have to sacrifice the flavors of the food you're already given to give it a nice spicy kick. The vinegar-heavy hot sauces are good on chicken wings or pizza, but have little utility elsewhere other than to mask the flavor of bland food. When I eat 20 cent ramen I cook it with some habenero tobasco. I like the flavor and the heat it brings to the meal. It's good in a burger from time to time as well. But I'm a big fan of spicy food. So yes, SoCal is like heaven to me foodwise.

Clu
I get down with the sauce. The hotter the better, but I like mustard based hot sauces that can be used in a wider variety of foods as a sauce or as a marinade.

discolé monade
my parental unit introduced my oldest girl to tabasco and chips. she was around 9 and fell in love. she then turned on the youngest at around 6. now that's the only way she'll eat plain chips. but i'm with you, if i want spice, i spice up during prep.
