I came up with emptycookiejar because I was thinking about how nice it would be to have some Oreos while I was coming up with an ASMB screenname.

 

I changed it to empty because it's less embarrassing. I guess. Or, edgy answer, because I'm dead inside.

 

I thought it was because your wallet is always empty

Stilgar - name of a character from the book Dune and other books written by Frank Herbert. The name I wanted originally was taken and this popped up and I said this will do I guess, it's not like I will be on this site for 14 years or anything.

I feel intensely stupid for never having made this connection.

It's a more funetic spelling of query. Not super sure why We started using it, as opposed to the old one. Just felt like time for a change. It's not as though We're any more inclined to question things than previously, but We do feel somewhat inclined to advertise it, apparently.

 

On the other hand, the old one was rooted in Warcraft lore. So perhaps Our complete and utter lack of interest in Legion may have prompted the switch.

it all started when i forgot the info to my original account after not logging on the [as] boards for a few months. the few usernames i could think of were taken and a song with this name was playing on my computer so i went with that

The original name was inspired by Chappy the rabbit, a mascot that Rukia from Bleach enjoyed.

 

 

This one:

I was infatuated with Rukia when Bleach came it, so it felt right, but everyone assumed I was being cutesy and didn't get the reference. It was funny though when the Chappie movie came out and the mods were dumb enough to think they were shout-out threads  >:D

 

Chaps came out as a blogging pseudonym when I did anime blogging with some of the Other Anime posters. I shortened it so it was more unisex, but it also had an a English vibe to it that sounded cool.

 

Then I think I used El Chapo because it was edgy, topical, and kinda had my name.

 

imchapp.in is a riff on the URL for this site, and have since stuck with it cause I couldn't think of anything else.

 

If Viper makes his site, I'd join as MingeBinge

lol I remember when westpark  was making threads about the movie and they kept getting locked. Perseus had to make a thread saying there's a movie called "Chappie" :D

Back in middle school, I fell in love with fantasy books, especially David Eddings's work and made SorceressPol my internet handle. Then people off the computer heard about it and thought the character(confident, strange, old soul in a young woman's body, silver streak in her hair) really suited me. I've never grown tired of fantasy books, so I still use it.

 

Sorce gets used if I'm too lazy to write out SorceressPol.

I've really hated Legion so far. WoD was absolutely horrible but at least I enjoyed some PvP. The systems in place that I have to endure for each toon, and each spec just by themselves has been turning me away. And now they're cramming in this off the wall lore.

Nothing, really. We fancy it was a generic, unassuming village in the former nation of Azeroth, lost in the ravages of the first war with the orcs. A would-be testament to the cruel apathy of fate, and the stark absoluteness of death, were it not forgotten from history.

And the 'goddess' part was because I got sick of people thinking I was a dude on the old BBS rooms I used to haunt. After that, they started thinking I was a gay dude on the old BBS rooms who was in touch with his inner diva. :D Whenever possible, I've kept the 'katt_goddess' name for things just to keep things simple.

Cracky was moving to Georgia just before the boards turned to utter sewer. Perseus was pursuing a career in either beer belly male modeling or just roofing shirtless in Washington state so he could tan his nips in the land of apples.  ???
