Stormy days ahead for Trump

But she didn't have sex:  she was essentially raped.   The disgusting thing about her testimony is that everything the defense attorney has been attacking her on - that she accepted money to stay silent, that she used sex as a tool to make money, that she was more than willing to trade insults with him, etc. - skirts the fact that he clearly lied about his intent to have dinner with her and that he used the differential in power to force her to refuse sex on his terms and, ultimately, led to her having sex with him just to escape the situation.  There are elements of crude grooming and bullying that can't be explained away by the defense.

I know you know all of that; I just can't wrap my head around the fact that she's basically saying she was forced to have sex with a man and the defense is still allowed to attack her on the periphery of the event.

I never read anything that said she was raped and everything I read said the relationship was consensual

I’m talking about Willis and the Georgia trial which is what disco was talking about

Georgia was always the case that presented Trump with the most danger. Now it looks like that risk is all but gone before the election. Fani literally fucked around, and now shes finding out. The Appeals court wont even start to hear this until August, which means that his trial in Georgia is pretty much on pause through the election.

Theres a chance Trumps case could proceed, but that would require Fani to leave the case on her own. And thats not about to happen. Even if it does, that opens up a whole set of new questions and problems that will delay, if not end, the trial as it stands.

Once again, Georgia's case is one that Trump, even in power, can't simply make go away.   The idea that it would have any bearing on his election chances was always tenuous at best, so the idea that it might be delayed beyond the election is somewhat tangential to greater issue of changing stupid people's minds.

As did I.  That's not what I'm reading now in the testimony.

That slime bag promised her dinner and then greets her with pajamas instead of food.  Then he keeps talking over her even as he pretends to be interested in what she said.  And he keeps after her until he ends up in his boxers and a t-shirt and she has sex with him to get out of the situation.

That's not consensual, regardless of the legal classification of the act itself.

My post wasn’t referring to Stormy Daniels it was in reference to Fani Willis

Sorry.  I'm a little unhinged right now.

I’m not mad about it or anything I just wanted to clear up any confusion because I would never categorize Stormy Daniels of “having sex w Trump” after her testimony.

It was by far the most dangerous case for him though. Both legally and politically. Legally, because as you said, he couldnt make it go away. But more importantly for him, politically. If Georgia proved that he committed election interference it would go right to the heart of his "rigged" crap as well as lead a lot of credibility to the whole "danger to democracy" thing. No one really cares about if he paid a hooker hush money or held classified documents.

Election interference and threats to democracy register, the other stuff doesnt.

Of course you wouldn't.

As to the Fani Willis thing, that's equally horrifying and it's even worse that it has the added tinge of racism, as if black women can't have consensual sex without purchasing it.  Since I'm already out of my fucking mind, I might as well make the comparison between a respectable and accomplished black woman and porn star because that's essentially what's happening.

Watch out, I'm spinning out of control here.

Speaking to Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan, Blanche complained that while Trump was forced to keep silent about witnesses and jurors, his opponents could as “anything they want”.

lol. lol. lol.

His 'opponents' say he specifically sucks and move on with their own lives.

He would happily post the jurors names and faces on social media with bullseyes on them and offer a free totally not fart-smelling pair of dumpster sneakers to the first person to turn in a scalp. :disassociate:

People make the mistake of thinking Trump is bigger than he is. He's not special. He's just one of those angry, contemptuous defendants who knows they're screwed and decides to disrupt the trial.

The same as one of those criminals you see in videos with titles like "Top Ten Biggest Court Freakouts".

  • 2 weeks later...

I have NBC on in the background right now watching random snips.

They had some dude melting down on camera carrying a sign that read 'Free Father Teresa'. And I couldn't help but wonder if he knew what a wad Mother Teresa technically was, would he still wave that sign? Probably.
