Probably that one.

Ballots were damaged after some drop boxes were intentionally set on fire.

In an election as tight as this one is, those ballots could make or break either candidate.  This is why I oppose drop boxes.  Either vote in person or vote by secured mail.  That would keep all ballots under safeguard.

Lines out the ass. Line to the door of the ballroom area. Then that split into three lines to the registration tables. The you went to another 3-split line to request paper or electronic before going to either the machine or a table. And then you try to get out the exit where some dude from the local news is waiting like a weird little Pee Wee Herman-isque spider with a mic. I think the NFL might try to draft me after that goddamn spin move - I will not be caught on camera!

How about idiots just not set the damn things on fire because some flatulent lardy manchild thinks he should just be automatically enshrined in the WH for eternity?

The types of people who have a hard on for drop boxes are the ones that hate the idea that people who can't make it to some random polling place and stand in line for hours because they actually have to work for a living might actually be allowed a say in how their taxes are spent and who will be making those decisions for them on the big stage.

That's what makes secured mail ballots workable.  If I want to avoid spending a whole afternoon in line at a regular poling place, there's the option to seal my paper ballot and bring it to the nearest post office.

When I used a drop box in 2020 because of the 'vid it was located in the lobby of one of the county courthouse buildings, but every primary and general since I've just mailed it from home and called it a day. They email you when they get it, too.

And when exactly was the last time you took a secured mail ballot to the post office? I go there to for anything and I still have to wait in a line out the door. I had to buy a single stamp for a post card for work today and had to wait 10 minutes for something that took exactly 49 seconds to complete.

And, for the record, I was on the mail-in/absentee ballot lists for the longest time to ensure that I could vote even if I was having health issues but the republicans running this place purged those lists for the hell of it and I haven't been able to get back on it in any sort of functional time frame.

The Georgia early vote is 1 point *more Democratic* than it was at this point four years ago. The Cobb County early has swung from R +2.4 to D +13.4.

If you find that hard to believe, know that Cobb's early vote partisan numbers more resemble 2022 than 2020, and in final election results it swung from Romney +12 in 2012 to Clinton +2 in 2016.

You don't get a cool sticker to place upon your bewbs... :(

*For the record, the blue smear was not intentional

It's my favorite color so I usually start with it, before switching to pink after realizing blue was often associated with politics. It was in no way intended to reveal who I voted for. It does not bother me if people know, but; as is, you have to really zoom in try to figure it out so... kudos if you go that far and get butt hurt

How are we measuring that? Post-vote polling?

It's from the Democratic data firm TargetSmart. It's partisan modelling as opposed to state partisan registration which Georgia doesn't have.

I'm reasonably sure the Harris campaign uses this data for campaign strategy and GOTV.

My younger brother voted for Trump 😐

Young men moving away from Democrats is a problem that should be taken seriously. Just dismissing them as incels and the like gives power to Andrew Tate-esque personalities. The male ego is pathetically fragile, yes. You have to use just the right language to get messages across.

Biden really just killed that entire story, and he did it on what was supposed to be Kamalas biggest campaign night. I cannot wait for the same people who said that the joke was going to sink Trump to say that this wont do anything to Harris.

Im really not convinced he isnt trying to sabotage her a bit. Its well documents that he, and his team, do not like Harris and feel that being sidelined breaks the deal they had when he stepped down.

The memes are already just fantastic at least.

Wait, you dont get a sticker with your ballot?  When we get our mail in ballots it comes with an "I voted" bewb sticker.

Also, WTF is a corporation commissioner? We're voting on CEOs now?

I will also continue to maintain that actions speak louder than words. And the actions out of the Harris campaign are showing a campaign waiving the white flag in some very key places.

First up, North Carolina where the campaign has canceled virtually all add spending in the final week of the race.

North Carolina has looked to be a strong GOP state this election with early voting numbers showing a clear enthusiasm gap that favors Trump. NC was always a bit of a longshot for the Harris campaign, so this isnt entirely a surprise. If they are redirecting the funds to Virginia then that would be a surprise. Early word there is that the GOP are turning out in record numbers across the state. The DC suburbs still have to vote, but Virginia might be closer than people think.

The more interesting one is Wisconsin.

If she is pulling out of WI, something is happening up there. Either she thinks she has it in the bag, or shes moving resources because she can lose that state (she can) and still win the EC if she holds PA. Recent polling in WI has been more favorable to Trump, but well within the MoE.

If Trump wins both NC and WI that puts him at 245. AZ and NV both look like they are going to go to Trump right now, which puts him at 262. That means he would need to win just 1 of Minnesota, Michigan, Georgia, or Pennsylvania to get to 270. Harris would have to run the table in those 4 states  to get her to 276 to Trumps 262.

Unless theres another surprise out there. NH has supposedly gotten pretty tight, and even New Mexico is suddenly within the MoE in some polls. I have a very hard time believing that either NH or NM would go Trump unless its a landslide.

This thing is tight, and its going to be tight right to the end.

I am less hopeful that "the right language" will change anything. Imo straight white men are being called on to change how they define themselves - they need to make room for other people, put more thought into how they behave, and ditch outdated assumptions that no longer serve a purpose.

I don't think the ones going right intend to make room for anyone. Progress has never been easy and there have always been people - especially the demographic with the most control - who have tried to stop it. If the fight for the 19th Amendment was happening today, these males would be just as toxic, if not moreso. Social media has made it easier for the worst people in society to link up and coordinate attacks to regain control.

I'm not sure what you do about that.

You're telling us you genuinely believe Biden calling Trump supporters garbage means Harris might lose due to... alienating Trump supporters?

I know we call you dumb around here a lot, but that sounds like you might have an actual learning disability.

Trump still hasnt apologized for the joke.

I guess he agrees Puerto Rico and it's people are trash.

So that makes everyone supporting Trump trash

The GOP is so desperate to make this into the new basket of deplorables because they know losing the Puerto Rican vote will lose them Florida

Again Trump has not apologized.

It doesn't matter that he didn't make the joke.

Biden and Harris would have been held to the same standard to apologize and they have already.

Trump thinks he's too good to apologize. And that is why he's going to lose the election. Over a stupid racist joke.

Have you spent any time on Reddit? Particularly in political or popular subreddits?  Well, if you have, you are being astroturfed.

BUSTED: The Inside Story Of How The Kamala Harris Campaign Manipulates Reddit (And Breaks The Rules) To Control The Platform

https://thefederalist.com/2024/10/29/busted-the-inside-story-of-how-the-kamala-harris-campaign-manipulates-reddit-and-breaks-the-rules-to-control-the-platform/

"For years, many have speculated that Democrat political candidates may be filling social media with fake posts to deceive the public and make their campaigns and causes seem more popular than they are. These claims have often been dismissed, citing that Democrat voters are already more likely to be on the internet compared to their not-as-tech-savvy Republican counterparts. This would suggest that the constant flood of left-leaning content on websites such as Reddit was merely a reflection of the userbase. However, many people simply couldn’t shake the feeling that something was just off, especially in the run up to major elections. Despite my fervent belief that something was amiss, I never had any direct proof that Democrats were actively manipulating social media.

That all changed two weeks ago, when X user @jessiprincey replied to one of my posts with a screenshot from a Discord server, seemingly related to the Harris-Walz campaign:

I immediately messaged Jess, and soon received a link to the Discord server where this operation was taking place. What I’d find there went far beyond algorithmic manipulation. I discovered massive “astroturfing” campaigns operating across multiple platforms. “Astroturfing” is a political and marketing term that describes creating swarms of coordinated and/or paid messages and posts to deceptively create the illusion of support from ordinary people. Essentially, “astroturfing” is the opposite of grassroots support."

This is some really good reporting with well founded evidence to prove that Reddit is being astroturfed by the Harris campaign to make her seem more popular than she really is. Powermods are members of this effort, and they even list which subreddits they specifically target for this astroturfing campaign.

Its likely not just Reddit either, other social mediate sites are targeted by the Harris campaign for astroturfing. X has identified a coordinated effort to community note anyone who isnt towing the Harris party line. And it very likely goes further than that to other social media sites and message boards.

Its been suspected for years that the Left does this, and now theres proof out there its happening. So if you are spending a lot of your time online, and in popular social media circles, odds are you are being astroturfed.

not that it matters in this world, but he was clearly talking about the blatant racism at the Nazi rally

this will obviously be used to rile up the redhats, but even taken in the context they want it to be taken I think it will serve to only rile up the redhats (who were voting anyways) while giving red state Dems and east softball to contrast themselves with Biden.
