Texas Bill fines Men for fapping

Essentially the lawmaker is protesting the draconian abortion laws that were passed recently.

"When it comes to issues related to health, state Rep. Jessica Farrar says that men should have to undergo the same 'unnecessary' and 'invasive' procedures that she says Texas women are subjected to under recently passed state laws.

"That’s why the the Houston Democrat on Friday filed House Bill 4260, which would fine men $100 for masturbating and create a required booklet for men with medical information related to the benefits and concerns of a man seeking a vasectomy, a Viagra prescription or a colonoscopy. The bill would also let doctors invoke their 'personal, moralistic, or religious beliefs' in refusing to perform an elective vasectomy or prescribe Viagra, among other proposed requirements in the bill.

"While Farrar knows her 'proposed satirical regulations' will not become law, she hoped the bill's filing would at least foster a deeper discussion about what should be a priority during session years."

Unless the point was to laugh and joke about the absurdity of a law that would fine men for :fap:

Considering the law was intentionally absurd to point out a law that isn't absurd and can do real harm to women, I'm pretty sure your joking about it means you probably missed the point... like usual.

I am well aware of the original intent. I just wanted to have a little light goofy discussion about a dumb law that would fine men for fapping. Instead I have to waste my time pointing out what was plainly obvious because you have some kind of retarded grudge and can't let it go. Not my fault your life consists of digging ditches, smoking shity weed, dodging hobo piss and arguing on dead forums. Get over it, even Fuggs has her shit together better than you.

Reading through the bill it became evident that it was not as it seemed - and yet it was not as easy to tell as you'd think, given Poe's Law and all.

My first question was what the fuck are "fully-abstinent sexual relations"?  I was also amused at how colonoscopies were thrown into the mix, since that totally seems like something the moral guardians would consider sexual.  I only started getting suspicious at "The booklet must contain artistic illustrations of each procedure."  But when I got to "An attending physician must administer a medically-unnecessary digital rectal exam and magnetic resonance imagining of the rectum before administering an elective  vasectomy  or  colonoscopy  procedure,  or  prescribing Viagra," everything became clear.  :D

"Emissions outside of a woman ’s vagina, or created

outside of a health or medical facility, will be charged a $100

civil penalty for each emission, and will be considered an act

against an unborn child, and failing to preserve the sanctity of

life."

lulz

Ok, so you remember how you were on the wrong side of that global warming debate? This is another one of those times.

Planned Parenthood is not the multi-billion dollar abortionist empire rightist propaganda would lead you to believe it is.

Yes, some planned parenthood facilities carry out abortion procedures; but that accounts to less that 3 percent of what they actually do there. Things like access to birth control and sexual education (states with greater access to contraceptives and sex-ed have lower rates of teenage pregnancy and abortions than states that do not). Things like public wellness programs and STI testing and education (when Mike Pence went after planned parenthood in his home state, there was a massive increase in HIV/AIDs as a result).

And yes, I understand that you may be of the opinion that one abortion is too many, but again this is a misinformed view.

Many abortions are medically necessary; such as those in the case of women who've suffered any number of medical complications which can result in dangerous or even deadly complications. Often times, the fetus will die before being capable of sustaining its own life outside of the mother (75% of all fertilizations are actually aborted naturally, with the majority of fetuses/blastocysts being being ejected from the body within the first couple of weeks to months). This can happen at any time throughout the pregnancy for any reason, and when miscarriage occurs later in the pregnancy, a procedure is often needed to remove the decaying fetus before it kills the mother like it did back in the olden days. In other situations, the fetus is alive but due to genetic defects during its growth in the womb (like lungs developing outside of chest cavity) would be unable to survive outside of the mother for more than a few moments before death after being delivered. Then of course you have cases such as rape and incest, as well as the argument that forcing an individual inherently incapable of taking care of a child to give birth is morally reprehensible. Yes we do have an adoption system (which is overcrowded and complicated) as well as a series of social safety nets (which are under-funded, socially stigmatized, and likely won't survive a Trump presidency) but for the reasons already listed and a multitude of others, these are not sustainable practices for societal growth and advancement.

Nobody wakes up in the morning and says "I want to kill babies." To simplify the arguments of those you disagree with in such a manner does a disservice to you, them, and the debate as a whole.

I did not this is some liberal acting like a smartass because they like abortions and want to kill babies

You do realize that Planned Parenthood spends zero federal dollars on abortion, right?

You also do realize that you have no right to vote to restrict access for women to healthcare, right?
