I wonder if he also thought kn's sig was an ad. I saw it last night after seeing the 'your balls will thank you' and 'china love' ads so it was plausible. I realized my mistake on seeing it several posts in a row though.

Now I only see the top banner ad, all seems good now.

I paused AdBlock on this site on my PC.  I don't have it on my phone, because to install it, you practically have to crack your phone, and when I did that, it caused other kinds of fuckery, which wasn't worth it.  I don't know if it's changed since then, since I haven't tried to install any ad blocker since that one time a long time ago.  Here's some of the ads I got -

Okay, VitaCost and Model Train Stuff.  That's relevant to my interests and I've been to those sites before.  It's hard to find decaf tea!  I also got ads for Aeropostale and something to do with property taxes.  Not sure what's up with that!

I got a John Cornyn ad.  That picture of AOC! 

I got this ad because of Frieza and Frost being in the Dragon Ball Super thread OP.  This stuff looks weird!  What the hell is it?!  Is it even edible?!

I've also changed the ad settings so it should be showing about half as many ads soon. Apparently google can target the ones that perform the best and only show those.

I could also set up a thing where people who have donated don't see ads but that seems kinda extort-y so I'm leaning against it.

I did notice if you Google a brand name you will get an ad for it later on

With Firefox having shit itself so bad that all of my add-ons, uBlock included, have stopped working, looks like I can see the ads now. I'm relieved yet kinda disappointed that they're mostly generic tripe.

God I hope they fix this problem within the next few days. I don't wanna go back to the days of pressing the X button on my URL bar to stop the ads from showing up.

Weird. Firefox finally dumped all my add ons, and I still don't see any ads here. Wonder if maybe it's anything to do with not updating Firefox often.

Hopefully they're scrambling to fix it fast.

It seems to be fixed now, all my addons are back.

Mm, still waiting for mine to catch up, methinks. Or possibly probably need to update Firefox. EDIT: evidently needed to change preferences on allowing firefox to run studies.

But it did also occur to me that it wouldn't matter in this situation. Finally remembered that I'm pretty sure I went in to do some hosts file editing to prevent the computer from loading certain ads entirely.

Also edit: finally starting to see the ads here. But, ironically, none in this thread.

See this is weird. For some reason all my add-ons are still working and Firefox is used 100% of the time on both my computers.  When did it start?

Seems to have started around 5 pm, PDT yesterday, although I didn't get hit with it until several hours later.

The update seems to have been rolled out around 9 am, PDT this morning.

So, depending on your usage (and settings), might not have noticed anything.
