i have 3 grocery stores right next to me and 2 within like a 2 minute drive, but i still go 10 minutes out of my way to walmart neighborhood market because i've always found it to be cheaper (unless i absolutely need something right now, then i go to Harris Teeter because it's the closest)

Walmart, Trader Joes's, Aldi, local market, and 2 Asian markets.

i've never found anything i liked from aldi, i know it's supposed to be cheaper than walmart. i've literally tried i think every staple, which i would usually get from walmart, and i've always been disappointed. i think the only times i can find decent stuff there are the snacks, but even that i'll just go somewhere else because the lines are too long

AND TONIGHT AT 11, FIND OUT WHERE SKILES BUYS HIS CLOTHES. HINT, IT'S FROM A CLOTHING STORE

Actually, save for one shirt I bought online a couple weeks ago, all the clothes I currently own, I got at a homeless shelter.

Theres this big ass farmers market store about 20 mins away. It kinda looks like a really large asian food market but they have the best looking vegetables. Their egg plants are so fucking beautiful I dream of making some egg plant parm or lasagna with them ... then I never do.

i wonder if that's the case everywhere because i also notice that the produce in the asian grocery store that's also 10 minutes away is far better than the ones by me. i hardly ever really buy produce though

Do you guys have HEB in your area? I really liked them when I lived in Texas.

No...when I lived near Houston I did...but they aren’t this far north...makes me sad...they used to order me some Swiss cheese that I missed when I moved from NY

when i can i walk to the local coop market a few blocks from my house, but it can get expensive for every day items.

i go to HEB but those are only in Texas but have great quality, low prices, and reasonable selections that sometimes varry between neighborhoods, like more or less asian foods for example.

i also use central market and the asian grocery depending on what meals i am cooking

Kroger.  Wal-Mart can go suck a big fat misshapen infected dick.  Their prices are lower but their quality is shit.  And since the people around my city would rather pay lower prices for cheese made from diseased cow teet scrapings I have to do all my shopping during the day instead of at night when transportation is available since Kroger dropped the 24 hours formula due to lacking business.

idk i've never found the Great Value brand to be all THAT much different on most things. i don't do store brand either if there's a good sale or on like cereal or snacks where the quality drop is more noticeable

No. In the northern half of Texas, they are non-existent. Once you go south, they are there.

This saddens me. At least tell me Halfprice Books is over there. I loved those stores.

I got to a local butcher for my meat.....I get produce at save-a-lot because theirs is the best and they have shit other stores don't like bok Choy......Boxed shit and snacks...Big Lots.

There's Homeland and aldis nearby but I don't really care for any of those except Homeland has a great cheese section.  But I'm not a cheese snob so I'll just get that anywhere. dgaf.

I don't grocery shop at walmart, but if i need something to eat in a pinch and I'm already in there for something else, I'll get one of their rotisserie birds.

Publix. I live in Florida and love going there.

I have a Publix around here too and they'd win me over if there was a gas station over there. Their store is clean and the people are nice, more expensive, but it generally seems like a happier place than Walmart

Yes, my thoughts exactly! Totally worth it.

Generally the Price Chopper half a mile down the street. If coming from the other direction, possibly the Hannaford. If 12-packs of coke are on sale there, the ShopRite.

Been to the whole foods and trader Joe's a couple of times, and my gf likes the local co-op for certain things, but I'm not really into that food scene. I've never been to the local Aldi's or the couple other places nearby I haven't mentioned. And I wouldn't buy groceries from Walmart or Target out of principle.
