SwimModSponges Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 Moving this discussion from the anime thread. I'm interested in hearing what your favorite dinosaur while I consider your viewpoints as well as mulling over my own in order to decide on my absolute favorite dinosaur. I feel this will be very exciting. So, let's dig on in, shall we?

SwimModSponges Posted January 7, 2018 Author Posted January 7, 2018 Ok, lets try it this way; I'mma pick my favorite out of each family, or like, top 3 families. Ok, Sauropods: Amargasaurus Ceratopsia- (Ok, full disclosure I'm going to pull back to marginocephalia so I can include) Stygymoloch Therapoda (This was the toughest one) Crylophosaurus 1
Hornshire Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 If pressed to pick just one, We would probably say iguanadon. [thumbs-up emoji] Close second is deinonychus. There really isn't much to these particular dinosaurs themselves that explain Our strong affinity for them, but rather it has more to do with Our personal history of learning about them. We were assigned iguanadon for an assignment in fourth grade, for example. And We had a deinonychus toy before anything else so that's always stuck. Also because We like Jurassic Park style velociraptors way more than actual velociraptors. But really, We don't have an actual favorite, and We think that's okay. This exercise may be useful in clarifying your opinions on what is or is not a desirable trait, but don't fret too much about not having concise answers to vacuous questions.
SwimModSponges Posted January 7, 2018 Author Posted January 7, 2018 I love me some crests and ornamentation, but I already knew that.
André Toulon Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 I refuse to participate because of that U in favorite.
SlappyKincaid Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 The only known lesbian dinosaur, the lickalotapus
PhilosipherStoned Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 Any of the numerous species classified as pterosaurs. True flying lizards would be a thing to see.
garbagepailcat Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 The Jurassic Park fan in me chooses Dilophosaurus, but I don’t think they were actually as cool as they made them seem in the movie. This thread made me realize that I don’t know a lot about dinosaurs.

There's also Utahraptor, which was even bigger. Edited January 8, 2018 by SlappyKincaid

Also if I remember right, they were actually quite a bit bigger than the book and movie made them out to be.
