Classic vodka martini because it's clean and it doesn't interfere with whatever you're about to eat.  Recently and thanks to my gf, I've started to get old fashions to start.

I ain’t talkin bout no sodie pop:

I’ll get a yuengling or….if they have it a snake bite which is half Guinness and half angry orchard

Always coffee unless it's Mexican. If it is Mexican then it's always sweet tea.

Gin & tonic if I'm drinking liquor for some reason (do not let me)

Otherwise I love sour beers & will always try a new one. A lotta places don't carry them though, so I'll get the closest thing that isn't cider. A wheat beer made with lime, whatever.

If there's nothing that sounds good then I just get the plainest sounding lager available, again always prefer to try something new. Or if I'm eating spicy food, since sours don't usually pair well & lagers go with anything.

If all else fails, a cheap can of Hamm's

Old fashioned beer if I’m chilling with the guys, wine if I’m having something fancier.  Over the weekend I was chilling at an Irish pub watching the UFC, and stuck with pints of Garage beer, a light lager.  Unless I’m on a tropical vacation, I dislike stronger drinks.  Then I’ll have a mojito or a sea breeze.

With wine I tend to be much more anal about food pairings.  White with fish and chicken, red with meat, etc.

I do enjoy wine but rarely. I’m a reisling or a sparkling rose

Went to a place that had $4 drafts. They had one (1) sour on draft last time, but not today so I just left and went next door to a place that always has exactly one (1) sour on draft. This time it was a different one, a watermelon gose. It's not very good, and I've had some great watermelon gose's.

Why is it like this? Everyone I talk to loves sours, yet almost nowhere has em on draft. It's a fucking rarity. I prefer dive bars but forget about it there, you basically have to go to a fancy sports bar type place to find even one (1) on offer.

The first place had overpriced cans of Urban Artifact. Love that brewery but not a huge fan of the Teak, I've had it way too much and it's just blah. Gets u fucked up at 7something% abv but just not a very exciting flavor, a little too sweet and tropical-y for me.

Anyway, I'm drunk

Some older lady just said "I'll have another Hufflepuff"

I don't even see that shit on the menu. Some Harry Potter ass secret menu. Or maybe it's a cocktail I'm not aware of.

Tempted to ask for a Ravenclaw and see what I get

I like lagers. But I do like hard cider. Bishop cider is the local here and they have one called crack berry that is bangin

I used to like hard cider but then I stopped at some point. Just too sweet for me usually bc I'm an anti-sweet tooth weirdo. Still tasty but like blech. There's a popular brand with a chipmunk mascot, that one used to be my stuff.

The lady gets Blake's variety packs with berry type flavors sometimes but I just don't like em. "Crack berry" does sound good tho

That's it! I almost said woodchuck instead of chipmunk but it sounded too dumb bc idek what a woodchuck is. But yes I used to love that stuff too back when I thought I didn't like beer.

It used to be widely available like Angry Orchard but actually good. I feel like I haven't seen it in a long time tho.

When I lived in NY it was everywhere. I know that they were acquired by another company and that’s about when it disappeared. I know my local specs can order it for me but I like yeungling (especially the Hershey one that comes out this time of year) so I don’t press it

I used to love Yuengling. That was the first beer I actually bought a 12 pack of for myself when I turned 21. I think I drank it too much tho and now it's just not as good to me.

I'm not picky at all but the only common cheap beer I truly still enjoy is Miller Lite for whatever reason. It's just gross enough to have a delicious refreshing beer-y taste, but still easy to drink. PBR & Hamm's are slightly grosser, Coors just tastes like water, and I've never liked Bud
