This speech was just so much awful that you just can't count the ways. It included calls for the lawyers who prosecuted him (calling some of them out by name) to be imprisoned, labeling news networks that are unfriendly to him as "corrupt" and "illegal", and several minutes of praise for his favorite judge Aileen Cannon, which included a blatant attack on free speech saying that simply criticizing her and other judges he likes basically should be illegal and that people should go to jail for it. Ignoring the hypocrisy of course of how many times he's attacked specific judges himself. Sad thing is, most of this was really nothing all that new or anything he hasn't said in one way or another before at his rallies. It's where he was spewing all this crap from that was most notable.

It's just a constant pushing of the line of people's perception of what can be considered tolerable behavior. Every day. Every day just a little bit further. That's how he does it. He makes the people around him accept one indignity after another, till the ones supporting him are willing to look the other way at just about anything. It took a little while, but we're pretty much at that point already now.

When people ask you to explain how you're going to accomplish something you're just being sarcastic about, you don't try to concoct a serious answer about it; you say "I was just being sarcastic." You especially don't go repeating it over and over and over and over and over again without clarifying at some point that you just mean it to be taken as a joke.

Banning porn is actually in Project 2025 anyway but I feel like people didn't bother to pay enough attention to know that and it's inclusion is going to be overshadowed by the tsunami of other worse dumb shit. Canada killing porn access immediately would just be great - you could watch to see who suddenly starts crying about how tariffs are bad that was a super fan just a week ago.

I’m laughing to not cry. So by this logic they could just fly anyone over international waters when courts are about to decide something they might not like.  This cannot even have any basis in reality with law. Please tell me this.

As someone who has been getting into golf the past year to play with family and clients (because submission grappling isn’t exactly something I can do with everyone), this is why the sport has such a negative reputation.

Think even further.  They fly over international waters and return immediately without the detainees, without arriving at the original destination.  "What happens over international waters, stays over international waters."

and in a move that should surprise no one, Trump looks to invalidate Biden’s pardons, claiming something about an “auto pen”. 
 

see, shit like this makes me think he knows there will be no real elections after him because he’s doing things that could be used against him in the future. When he pardoned all the J6ers he said on television that he was going to look through them so as to not release violent criminals but then decided that would take too long. So he doesn’t know half the shit he signed either.

An autopen is a tool that public figures use to replicate their signature so they're not spending their entire day physically signing everything. I'd wager that the only time presidents or governors manually sign anything is when it's on camera.
