Idk why but homeless people always come up to me and just say really obscure shit. I was at the Greyhound bus station and this conversation literally happened

Homeless guy: yo man you got $5

Me: nah

Hg: I get more ass than a toilet seat

Me: *nervous laugh*

Hg: yeah man my willy Johnson so big if I pulled it out in Pennsylvania I'd get an indecent exposure charge all the way in New York

Me: that's nice.

Hg: keep God in your heart man

Me: ok

You need to look like the kind of guy that shoots bums and calls the police over a poor parking job while traveling.

Not a bad idea mate

Idk man that was a pretty funny story though. Homeless guys do say the darnedest things..  Its usually a pretty interesting conversation just asking them how things are going, but the "gimme all you change right now, or if not how about a smoke or two" type hobos really can try your nerves sometimes.

The strangest interaction I ever had with a homeless person was this woman at the Jersey shore. I sat down on some steps adjacent to the bench she was sitting on, checking my phone and she randomly proclaims "oh here comes another one, stickin pins in my neck" there were a few other people around so I just brushed it off. As the crowd dispersed a bit so too did she parting by looking at me proclaiming "you have a choice, you can either be a murderer or be a person" at this point I scanned confusedly only to realize she was indeed talking to me.

How is it Republican policy when Democrats have been running the show in California for decades?

I had a homeless guy come up to me once. Well, I assume he was homeless.

Asked me for five dollars. Said he wanted to get a drink. He was honest. I gave him a ten.

You are so fucking stupid.  It shows you've never owned property in your life.

Just go to Philadelphia and wait in front of City Hall.  You're bound to catch one.

This man knows. He uses his vacations to sample the homeless baby batter from all around this great nation.

Low cost housing is not an entrepreneurial enterprise, asswipe.

At least not in California, New York or New Jersey.  Can't charge cheap rent when taxes and regulatory fees are expensive.

Check rents in Galveston.

At least you don't attract bigots/white nationalists.

If I had a dollar for every time some asshat just randomly told me about how they hated Jews/Black people/LGBT people/etc. and were surprised when I told them to fuck off, my balloon stash would number in the tens of thousands right now. :|

I like how you claim to know everything about construction, yet this seems to escape your grasp.

What's your take on it?

You think landlords want to price themselves out of the market?

i could have sworn that approval and fed. grants have to be in place for low~income.

that there are a shit ton of criteria the tenant needs to bring in, and maintain.

this isn't a 'housing for profit' thing you chode.

fuck it's like you don't even want to use your brain.

i bet you think you're some sort of interwebs master troll or some shit.

you're pathetic.

I'm not talking about government assisted housing.

When a landlord has to pay $1,500 a month just to keep the property active, he has to charge more than that before he sees one cent in profit.  That includes taxes and regulatory compliance costs.

When the business costs are lower, he would be able to charge less and thus keep his units occupied.

Vacant and idle units turn zero profit.

When I say, "low cost" it has nothing whatsoever to do with the government.

The "market" is whatever the average rent is for the region.  In turn, the average rent is determined in part by a combination of property value, materials costs, and labor costs.  That's why markets that are not particularly desirable can still have astronomical rents:  the costs to renovate and maintain a property doesn't typically decrease proportionally with the demand for the the rental space.

Okay, so when the operating expenses are made substantially lower, a land owner could afford to charge lower rent.
