Pac-Man and Super Mario Brothers.

Yes. Mario was in the arcades for those who are too young to remember that.

Donkey Kong was cool too.

Of course, Galaga.

I forgot all about Street Fighter 2.

Always played as Blanka.

Ugh... Blanka was so overrated

I remember how no one else knew how to do fatalities on MK2 in the arcade, and I figured Liu Kang's dragon fatality out.

I felt like a true bad ass.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Metal Slug, Marvel vs. Capcom, Time Crisis, and Virtua Fighter to name a few.

You mean the original arcade game? It's just Mario Bros. (no Super)
Or Vs. Super Mario Bros? (remixed version of the original NES Super Mario Bros)

I hated arcade games. Paying to play again after you died was for the birds.

But my friend and i did enjoy playing haunted mansion together so much we bought a gamecube and guns to play at home when we were roommates

Strikers 1945 and a similar, bullet hell game whose name escapes me. Secons one was at the roller rink so I didn't play it as much.

Primal Rage was my favorite game actually played on an arcade machine with street fighter being a close second.

Killer Instinct was awesome though I've only ever played it on console.

Shirt wearing right now my man

I remember Mario Brothers, and Super Mario Bros. being in the arcade. It was in the arcades the same time it was on NES. I watched a dude in an arcade hit the invisible blocks, which I didn't know existed until that moment, and went home and tried it.

I still play strikers every once in a while.....the Mosquito is pure hell......You can pretty much 1shot any boss once it reaches it's final form if you can power up that Napalm blast.

It was in the commons in college and I used to draw a crowd at how I used to dodge all that shit on screen.  I fed that game so many quarters....That and Tekken 3

That's impressive. What's not impressive was me when I played it. I was hot garbage at it. But this was a small town in Bama so I didn't have many arcade options. Think it was the laundry place that had the OG Street Fighter cabinet with the punch pads. But the pads were busted up and dented so I never got to play it.

We didn't have an arcade in our town so I only ever got to play it on vacation.  Fun memories ^_^

It was also an arcade game. I've played it, too. So, you settle down, Beavis.

I got to go to an arcade once for my 10th birthday. They had a Lost World arcade shooter there. I put my quarters in but i died really quickly (probably because it was supposed to be a 2 player game) so i just ended up watching the demo play until some other kids kicked me out of the booth so they could play.

Still, it was worth it.

Yep, that's the Vs. Super Mario Bros that I mentioned as you can see there in the title screen.

This came out the year after SMB and had changes to make the game harder and eat more of your quarters.
