Rumb0 Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 I just had two of their pizzas this week, a regular Rising-Crust supreme and their over-priced Stuffed-Crust supreme, and both pizzas were off-putting. They were soggy in the middle, had no crunch, and felt oddly samey. I couldn't even taste the cheese in the stuffed-crust. Is this an end of an era?

1pooh4u Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 Nice to know it's not me. I purchased rising crust on 2 occasions and it didn't rise was too dense and totally inedible.
PhilosipherStoned Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 I never tried that brand pizza either. I rarely buy frozen pizzas at all and Digorno always seemed overpriced/ overhyped to me.. Though I've never met anyone that actually cared for the brand. Their commercials were always pretty arrogant, and widespread.
fuggnificent Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 i fucking love $2 tortinos. they dont even come in a box anymore. and i have tortino 6 sense and know exactly when its perfect

I thought DiGiorno's was pretty good for a frozen pizza, but it doesn't compare to fresh pizza. Haven't had it in quite a while though, so I can't say if they got worse or not.
GunStarHero Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 DiGiorno's always tasted off to me. Haven't had one in ages but the sauce alone was just nasty. I rarely buy frozen pizza anymore but if I'm in the mood to be particularly lazy, I get Wild Mike's. Best frozen pizza dough I've ever had. Beyond that, nothing special except the box is super duper 90s.
Top Gun Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 It's what you get for buying frozen pizza. *shudder*
molarbear Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 The crust will rise for me but it burns before the center ever gets cooked
ThisIdiot Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 I haven't had digiornos in forever but I get this culinary circle brand at work when it's on sale...their fuckin HUGE ...half of this rising crust pizza fills me for the entire day..

Look at that manic expression carved across that neanderthal brow, the unnatural angle of his Chiclet teeth. He knows what you're after and he's ready to deliver.

Codename: Jackass Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 man that guy was really onto something with buttered toast that stuff is really good
Zenigundam Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 DiGiornio tastes great. Haven't had it in... Wow probably ten years minimum, but it tastes great. I bet you go to McDonald's expecting a five star Big Mac smh
Zenigundam Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 How about suck my dick. Who you talkin to? *While holding Phillies over the ledge of the Empire State Building's observatory*
Misaka Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 You sure your oven's heating element or flame is lighting fully? Exactly what I was thinking Mine turns out perfect every time
Chapinator_X Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 You weren't expecting yoga mat crust from DiGiornos?
Misaka Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 T_Boyz[/member] By chance are you removing the cardboard from the pizza? http://www.digiorno.com/products/rising-crust/rising-crust/11155/supreme
Misaka Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 Also suggest you try a pizza stone to cook on http://topratedkitchen.com/guide-best-baking-stone-pizza/

Misaka Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 That one dude bashed the shit then still said he recommends this product You really need to quote users I'm getting confused
André Toulon Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 You really need to quote users I'm getting confused No you're not. You know exactly which post I'm replying to because only one link has reviews. I quote when I wanna quote.
Misaka Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 No you're not. You know exactly which post I'm replying to because only one link has reviews. I quote when I wanna quote. Both of them have reviews
DragonSinger Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 That one dude bashed the shit then still said he recommends this product People giving out 4-5 stars on something they totally dogged in their review aggravates the shit out of me. It's so pointless and makes think that person is weak as hell.
DragonSinger Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 Both of them have reviews He probably meant the pizza review since the timestamp on his post is only like 24 seconds after you posted the second link.
NaBarney Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 The only good frozen pizzas are thin crust and even then you have to salvage them by putting on your own banana peppers and Cholula and curry powder
Sieg67 Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 They definitely went down hill. I started getting Walmarts 3 dollar supreme pizza. It looks like an off brand Digiorno but it's better. https://i5.walmartimages.com/asr/cfbdd3d9-ff35-4712-9f53-c1d92d75efd9_1.e659ebc0c7a82e25d13e918e53d43d80.jpeg?odnHeight=450&odnWidth=450&odnBg=FFFFFF
Misaka Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 He probably meant the pizza review since the timestamp on his post is only like 24 seconds after you posted the second link. Now see if budy mentioned that I wouldn't have been confused

But it still doesn't change the crust tasting like fucking cardboard.
Rumb0 Posted July 21, 2017 Author Posted July 21, 2017 The only good frozen pizzas are thin crust and even then you have to salvage them by putting on your own banana peppers and Cholula and curry powder Literally wtf is wrong with you.
Misaka Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 I did remove the cardboard from the pizza. But it still doesn't change the crust tasting like fucking cardboard. Cooked it directly on the rack?
Rumb0 Posted July 21, 2017 Author Posted July 21, 2017 Cooked it directly on the rack? Actually, no. I don't trust that method. I have a pizza pan, but it's old af. It's nearly 20 years old.
Misaka Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 Actually, no. I don't trust that method. I have a pizza pan, but it's old af. It's nearly 20 years old. Try that method also if you add additional toppings the cooking time will need adjustments
