@elfie to me the only question raised is why AS didn't promote that they're now showing Adventure Time. When the show was new people all over the AS boards loved it, so I think there is a ton of cross-over appeal to the AS audience for that show. Also AS has built a model on being successful in re-running other network's canceled shows ad nauseam in the past.

Yeah, I think that's actually the recommended method. Blowing into the game is actually bad for it and just makes the problem worse. But I was lazy and wanted to play something NOW.

Uh, what? Back in the cartridge days you had to spend at least 30 seconds blowing into the fucking thing and flicking the power on and off again and again to get it start. Yeah, later gen cartridge systems had better shelf lives with not having to do that, but you still have to do that today when you dig your retro consoles out of the attic and hook them up. The dawn of CD-Rom gaming always had loading times, as far as I'm aware.

Oh I had a game genie, but to me that doesn't really "count." I beat SMB3 and Secret of Mana with game genies when I was a kid. But when I realized Game Genie doesn't guard against getting knocked into a pit over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, no amount of infinite lives is gonna get me past this shit with some games. It must've either been Ninja Gaiden or Ninja Gaiden II that made me come to that realization.
