Trumpist Insurrection in DC

This is definitely starting to look worse than we thought.  They were going to gas members of Congress regardless of who they were.  The ones telling them where to go could’ve been Reps hiding in that very room not caring if they died too.  Martyrs for their cause, maybe?  Maybe they thought they’d be rescued?  Idk, I don’t wanna say it possibly sounds like the same behaviors as suicide bombers, but yeah kinda feels similar?

Plus the whole thing about Trump paying manaforts "government overtrow r' us" company 1.7 mil to organize the coup.

Yeah we almost saw congresspeople executed on live television amid a successful coup.

“Successful”

Heya jingo, remember that video i posted a while back of a truptard going rabid screaming at a dude as he calmly called him stupid?

And his friend was in the background punching a street sign because he's just so goddamn weak, insecure, and impotent?

When you hammer on that react button, who do you think you most represent in the above scenario?

Again, put an ultimatum on him. Either he nuts up and posts with his own big-boy words why everything that happened was hunky-dory and not at all an attempt at armed insurrection, or he gets forcibly removed from this folder.

Our military is getting radicalized by having nothing but Fox News blasting at them 24/7.  That 1 in 5 of the rioters were military affiliated, while one 7% of Americans serve in the military is really something. How are we different than any other fundamentalist country.  I’ll tell you....we aren’t. ☹️

Unfortunately, we get like one news story about the vets that showed up to clean up DC after the riots and like 20 about the retards that were out rioting.  It certainly reinforces a long held notion that a certain type of individual idolizes the concept of military service at least in part because it ameliorates their problematic ideologies.  But, coupled with the resistance to this radicalized agenda by top military brass coupled by the fact that none of the brigand "vets" were of color despite the fact that 43% of AF personnel are non white, I'd say that radicalization in the military is a problem within the ranks as opposed to within the leadership.

I like this part

"The group also believes that President Franklin D. Roosevelt sold U.S. citizens out in 1933 when he ended the gold standard and replaced it by offering citizens as collateral to a group of shadowy foreign investors." [ with regards to the beliefs of the sovereign citizens ]

And they are all going to unite for the Annoying Orange, whose republican base is openly on record as calling people 'human capital stock' while pushing economy over health? Make up your mind, are you a free person or human capital stock? Because you can't be one and be for the other as it was presented. o.O

Truly amazing to see that crack addicts entire business fail, not because of his shitty product, but he reached out and tried to save a fat, piece of shit from drowning and got pulled in too.

I love this country.

That dude does not make a good case for recovering from addiction.  He just replaced crack with Trumpism.

Also remember before this whole thing happened i posted an article about how everyone was concerned about pro-trump officials in the pentagon potentially not being too into a peaceful transition of power?

I went looking for memes a while back and found an article about them. From none other than our old friend Dailymail.

Man, Jingai sure doesn't like it when you point out white supremacist benefactors and corruption in Trump's governing, the guy that didn't understand why people around him were mortified by the riot.

It's so weird he has a problem with these things.

It would be kinda cool if the left was just as fuckin crazy as the right (they are, just not in the same numbers as the right) McConnell purposely waited until the inauguration so they can use Trump not being in office anymore as an excuse to not convict.  I would love to see the left storm the Capitol and pull McConnell out of the senate by his hair.  Republicans are so disgustingly slimy and crooked that they would rather risk Trump running again and being successful next time (with his sedition) than risk losing voters by doing the right thing.
I want legislation written right now, that will apply to Trump, and take his special perks away. This man is entitled to daily briefings, he should not have access to any of that.

The level of debasement that the GOP has sunk to in just four short years is pretty amazing. This is on top of hundreds of thousands of people choosing Marjorie Taylor Greene to be their House Rep. Before her, I thought Gohmert or Steven King was the lowest they could go.

Quote

In one post, from January 2019, Greene liked a comment that said "a bullet to the head would be quicker" to remove House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. In other posts, Greene liked comments about executing FBI agents who, in her eyes, were part of the "deep state" working against Trump.

In one Facebook post from April 2018, Greene wrote conspiratorially about the Iran Deal, one of former President Barack Obama's signature foreign policy achievements. A commenter asked Greene, "Now do we get to hang them ?? Meaning H & O ???," referring to Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Greene replied, "Stage is being set. Players are being put in place. We must be patient. This must be done perfectly or liberal judges would let them off."

After CNN reached out to Greene, her personal Twitter account posted a statement in which she did not deny that she liked posts and replied to comments but claimed that many people have run her Facebook page.

Funny thing about putting someone on "ignore", you don't get notifications when they react to things, so the only reason I know he's still being a little bitch is because you jist told me.

For future reference though, i don't care.

I doubt it, at least not from the MAGA crowd. Trump's final days pretty much killed it. He pretty much dropped them like a sack full of rocks to protect himself from future prosecution and lawsuits resulting from the riot he started. Look at what happened on the day they were supposed to turn out at all the state capitals (ARMED) ... zero. They're done and demoralized. I doubt Trump will be able to reignite the flames and the rest of the Republicans are trying to ride on his fumes ... but they won't be getting near as far. The whole culture war thing only works so long before it becomes evident that there has been nothing of substance done. It may not mean that Democrats are going to sweep GOP strongholds, but the most extreme elements are going to find themselves eventually fall to primary challengers when people get tired of talk and want results.

The GOP is not going to have a good 2022 despite mid-terms usually being rough. Unless Biden majorly fucks up something on the scale of Trump, his policies are probably going to be pretty popular. What are the GOP going to do in reaction to that? Probably scream socialism and conspiracy theories again, marching out the bloated spectacle that Trump will be. If Trump family members run like they threaten to, it's going to be a major disaster in the general election for them. Right now it looks like McConnell is fine with sacrificing party seats in the senate in order to keep Trump voters happy. He's unenthusiastically taken a double barrel shotgun and shot himself in the foot in order to protect an ex-president who is going to become more and more unpopular as time goes on and more of his personal dealings come to light.

On the other hand, Trump will continue to be a great tool for Democrats as they mount challenges to crackpots like Ron Johnson and whoever wins the Senate primaries in Pennsylvania and North Carolina. From the sound of it, Arizona already looks lost since the most likely candidate is even worse than McSally (chemtrail Kelli Ward). Georgia may be close, but Warnock will have the advantage of being an incumbent and better reflecting the changing attitude and demographics of that state.

Anyway, the people you're worried out have been abandoned by their savior. They're trying to cope with this new reality where they realize that Trump was never going to stick his neck out for them. They'll either drift back to the dark places of the internet or (like most people who embrace internet extremism) quietly change their politics to fall within what's considered mainstream, particularly if they go out and get lives. Part of the reason we may have had the riot is due to all the people with nothing to do but hang out at home and warp their reality because of COVID.

So a second DC capitol riot responding cop has killed themselves and I can’t help but be enraged that the “law and order/blue lives matter” people don’t, and won’t hold Trump responsible for any of it. People thinking this won’t happen again are dead wrong.  It’s becoming more likely to happen again as we see there won’t be much accountability for it.  No one learned anything from any of this other than to not piss off Trump’s base because you need them, and you want them to remain republicans

Paraphrasing a quote i saw- what do you call a failed insurrection that isn't punished?

A rehearsal.

A lot of times I accuse you of hyperbole, but in this instance I think you’re being realistic. A lot of the civilians involved seem to be getting hit with the lesser charges, and it seems no politicians will be held accountable at all.  No one is getting in trouble for their tweets prior to the 6th, tours given the day before, or the live tweets of certain people’s locations during the siege.  Getting away with any of these things is a recipe for disaster. They can just be more organized next time.  The National guard and high security won’t be in DC forever.   It’s a huge mistake this bullshit notion that the electors has to be objected to because the people needed to be heard, but somehow that does not apply to convicting a former President of sedition. Do they really want us to buy this “Trump is a private citizen now we don’t have jurisdiction” shit they’re trying to peddle.  That the only way to move forward and unite as a nation is by holding no one accountable?  Everyone gets a mulligan?

The central tenant of conservativism is that there is an in group that laws protext but don't restrict, and an outgroup that laws restrict but don't protect.

Theres another paraphrased quote.

And yeah, i know i hyperbole it up, but i mean, assuming the worst about these people, in my experience, rarely falls short.
