Page broke?

Sorry, I didn't mean to do that.

But I'm of the opinion that it's important that the guy tasked with reviewing the security failures during the coup is saying that the call came from inside the house, as it were.

I mean yeah, it's obvious Trump was behind the coup, but again, it's important to understand the gravity of that.

I'm sorry this bothers you so much.

Unless I'm mistaken, pretty sure he's just using hyperbole to demonstrate a point there. It's not your posting of articles, or their content, that anyone takes issue with. It's what you expect afterwards. Yes, these things are concerning, but... what do you want us to do? Ok, you''ve shared, we're aware, that's bad... what now? Are we also supposed to be spreading this information? Are we supposed to be contacting representatives? You don't even give any of your own input on the articles you provide, just "Here's another news post." By your content, you're not really looking for a discussion on these matters. You're not even really ranting about them. Just. "This is bad." Ok. And? What exactly is the response you're expecting from all the doomposting?

You want people to be concerned, and yeah, we are. But, nobody's going to be angry about shit 24 hours a day, and frankly, for a bunch of nobodies on what used to be a cartoon message board, there's not really much point to us spending much more than a passing thought on these issues. We're aware of [bad thing], but it's far beyond what any of us have any influence over, so, it's just not worth dedicating the brain space to dwelling on it.

All that said, by all means, keep sharing. I mildly enjoy being vaguely aware of goings on. And occasionally it's entertaining when the local fascist tries to downplay an article. But I do think maybe you might need to lower expectations on what reactions you're looking for. Cuz I don't think you've posted anything for a long while that merits anything more than a "Good to know."

That's sorta why I do it, I suppose, feel like I'm doing my part to promote a general vague awareness of current events.

Suppose it gives me catharsis? Just sorta "shouting into the void" by posting  my discontent with current  events?

I mean otherwise I don't really want anything out of anybody- heck I'm not even looking for a "good to know". I just sorta want to put the shit out there I guess.

Trump's new social media site is filled to the brim with beheadings.

That’s pretty funny and now what do the site creators do now?  They said it’s a free speech site.  Only scary thing is a lot of trump supporters are just the type to run and join ISIS. They should have claimed to love Trump

She was part of the mob. You've always painted BLM with the same brush, but now conveniently you don't?

And she most certainly was breaking into a restricted area.

What are you even talking about. When in the world did I mention BLM in my last few posts.

Have you been smoking the clown's lettuce?

Ah, I see where you're confused. I'm pointing out that you use the same brush for one group, but not for another. People running protesters over at BLM protests is "self-defense" but this is somehow "killed in cold blood." Nope, no obvious biases showing there.

But it was a nice try at a redirect, since you know Ashli Babbitt was trying to get into a restricted area.

Yes, let's shoot at unarmed protestors. What could go wrong?

Cops are always in the right to shoot at the people on Jan 6th utilizing their first amendment rights right????

This is why liberals will never be taken seriously in real conversations.

If you don't break the law, cops leave you alone, blah blah....

It's this or sit at home and watch his mother self destruct.  It's no coincidence that he pops up right around the time of a grave national crisis because, no doubt, he's hearing about if from her.

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/exclusive-fbi-finds-scant-evidence-us-capitol-attack-was-coordinated-sources-2021-08-20/

"WASHINGTON, Aug 20 (Reuters) - The FBI has found scant evidence that the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was the result of an organized plot to overturn the presidential election result, according to four current and former law enforcement officials.

Though federal officials have arrested more than 570 alleged participants, the FBI at this point believes the violence was not centrally coordinated by far-right groups or prominent supporters of then-President Donald Trump, according to the sources, who have been either directly involved in or briefed regularly on the wide-ranging investigations.

"Ninety to ninety-five percent of these are one-off cases," said a former senior law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation. "Then you have five percent, maybe, of these militia groups that were more closely organized. But there was no grand scheme with Roger Stone and Alex Jones and all of these people to storm the Capitol and take hostages."

Stone, a veteran Republican operative and self-described "dirty trickster", and Jones, founder of a conspiracy-driven radio show and webcast, are both allies of Trump and had been involved in pro-Trump events in Washington on Jan. 5, the day before the riot.

FBI investigators did find that cells of protesters, including followers of the far-right Oath Keepers and Proud Boys groups, had aimed to break into the Capitol. But they found no evidence that the groups had serious plans about what to do if they made it inside, the sources said."

So, no organized insurrection, and claims to the contrary are baseless conspiracy trash.

Thought so.

Go outside.

Touch grass.

I'm glad you're finally onboard with the rest of the rational thinkers and realize that storming the Capitol wasn't a false-flag operation set up by Antifa, and now maybe you'll be able to see that a bunch of crazy racists were invoked into action by Don Jr., Rudy, and Don himself.
