I'm very relieved that it wasn't as bad as anticipated

I think Gen Z heard one too many avocado toast and pronoun jokes and decided to turn themselves against the people that kept making them.

I like how Trump got dragged for using Stone’s dumb nickname for DeSantis, calling him Ron  DeSanctimonious but then a few days later Trump switched his tune calling him “a good friend” at another rally where the people went nuts just from hearing the name Ron Desantis.

Idk what’s scarier a DeSantis or another Trump presidency. I feel like DeSantis would do more damage because he’s taken more seriously

Keep insulting the voter base that pushed you out of power as you continue to set policy to deny them shit and laugh about it.  See how it ends for you, you dumb cunt.

I think “Generation Z is sick of the geritocracy” will be the big takeaway from this election.

This election proved that the real threat in 2024 is going to be DeSantis. The MAGA election deniers completely collapsed. Trump does not have the traction he used to have and DeSantis has repackaged MAGA into a more palatable package for voters. DeSantis has the veneer of a well-spoken, rational politician and he's much more comfortably aligned with the GOP. That appearance of legitimacy is going to make him a contender in the general. I don't think he will have as much of the MAGA/QAnon death cult, especially if Trump doesn't play nice if DeSantis wins the nomination. He's still passing very reactionary policies that he will undoubtedly try pushing on the federal level.

This here was the first battle of a post-Trump world and the next fight will be in 2024. Let's see how it shakes out.

Walker at least has his head injuries to blame for his incohesiveness.

It’s so crazy how Walker is completely A OK to serve in the senate but Fetterman, who needs CC, isn’t fit to serve despite being completely competent you gotta hear the nonsense Tucker Carlson says with that permanently bewildered look on his face that seems to ask “did I just eat shit instead of chocolate”

Fetterman has difficulties speaking but he has cohesive points. Big difference.

If the Dems are able to close both AZ and NV to retain their 50 seats, I've lean heavily on Warnock as a favorite in the run off to be #51 because the conservatives holding their nose for Walker purely to flip the Senate won't have a reason to hold their nose anymore. Then with a 51/49 majority, they could finally let Harris out of the Senate Chamber where she's been locked up two years to break ties.

Isn't Cortez Masto down about 23,000 votes?  But, it looks like Washoe County is really close (less that 5,00 with only 76% reporting), and that has Reno in it.

*Weakly marks Dec. 6 on calendar and sinks back into the abyss*

Given Kemp crossed 50% and, on the assumption that Kelly and CCM win in Nevada and lock in the 50 seats, the hope is that there'd be nothing left to prop up Walker's dried husk in the run off.

I think he needs something like 32,000 votes to go over the 50% mark and, given how much independents have stayed stayed roughly 50/50, I think Warnock has a fairly well defined path to victory in the run off.

One local measure Ill post on before I head to bed. Prop 122 was to legalize Mushrooms and other psychedelic substances for medical purposes.

It currently leads 50.6% to 49.4% with 53% in. Its up by roughly 20k votes.

I really hope this one passes, but Im not counting on it.

24 hours later and the lead has expanded. Its now up 51.3% to 48.7% with 85% in.

Starting to feel a little better about this one passing.

This is a R+15 seat after redistricting. Even if she loses, and I hope she does, thats a stunning rebuke in this red of a district.

It'll be great if she loses, and it'll be an absolute shame that the DCCC writes him off in 2024 against a regular Republican.

Whats so interesting is that so far in the Conservative sphere there is A LOT of blaming of Trump going around. People are realizing that the GOP had a golden opportunity this year, and Trump fucked it up. His candidates are going to cost the Senate, Again. I really think we see a shift away from Trump and toward DeSantis after this one. Pretty clear that the hardcore pro-trump crowd just isnt that big, and its not big enough to win elections.

Gonna piggyback up off of this one. The amount of anger at Trump has only grown in the last 24 hours. I listened to Fox most of the day  today (I usually dont listen to any news) and even some of the most pro-trump voices have had to admit today that he hurt the party. Some conservative spaces online are positively enraged today at Trump. Lots of people openly blaming him for not only pushing through some absolutely horrible candidates, but for raising all that money and then doing nothing with it.

There are some pro-Trump voices still busy giving him a blowy, but they are being drowned out and attacked pretty viciously online.  Its remarkable to see how quickly this has happened.

Its good for the GOP, and the Country, as well.  The sooner Trump is thrown to the trash heap of history the better it is for everyone.

Thats going to depend on the GOP honestly. Do they nominate someone normal, or do they double down on the bat shit crazy and give Dems a chance to hold this seat?

If its even a halfway sane GOP candidate then the seat swings back no matter what the DCCC tries. But if its BoBo part 2? Hard to say.

THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELLS YOU! THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELLS YOU! *splashes holy water EVERYWHERE

ND still sucks. Not quite enough too proud to live MAGAts to split off the votes for worthless Hoeven. And the Independent Mund did not get close to the racist dillweed Armstrong. So basically, we got two of Mitch's Bitches keeping their places. -.-; Recreational marijuana was also shot down. But term limits are now finally a thing. Even if the current incumbents are considered grandfathered in, they are now on the clock and officially have expiration dates whether they like it or not.
