idk...You might have Trump confused with somebody else.

No, there were multiple instances where Trump refused to do debates. He went to most, but there were at least one per election. One was over Megyn Kelly being too mean and another in 2020, not sure he even gave an excuse that time.

Its starting to look more and more like the best hope for Democrats is a 50-50 split in the Senate. The House is gone at this point. The RCP average shows the GOP with a lead, and if Democrats have anything other than a +5 lead in that average then they lose seats. With the GOP needing to only pickup a handful of seats its looking like as close to a sure thing as you can get.

In the Senate, the GOP look poised to hold Wisconsin and pickup Nevada.  That will offset the looming losses in PA and potentially GA. Im still not convinced that Walker doesnt pull that off though. Kemp is going to cruise to reelection easily, and if we expect Warnock to win then that means a ton of vote splitting or people not voting for the Senate. Based on pretty much all recent electoral history that just isnt super likely. Walker is a very bad candidate, but he can ride the coattails of Kemp to a victory. There's also the strange way GA holds elections with the potential for a runoff that would favor Walker.

In AZ, it looks like the bat shit crazy Lake is actually going to win the Gov spot. Shes got the edge in the RCP average, but its a very small edge. Im still not sure how she can win being that insane, but she actually has a real shot at it.

It sure looks like even with the Dobbs decision firing up the Democratic base that the GOP are poised for a good year. Abortion simply isnt a key issue for the majority of Americans. As long as inflation remains high and there are economic doubts around, the GOP are in good shape this November.

...is that a photoshop? Seriously asking since I didn't watch that trainwreck.

Because that looks like one of those f-ing stickers that cops hand out to kids on the street as part of the whole 'know your neighborhood / meet the police' thing. He would have been better off flipping that LootCrate pin I linked here ages ago. At least it has frickin' depth.

Probably. Walker keeps claiming he worked for law enforcement in some capacity. The reality is he did a tour of a precinct or some such shit and was given a toy badge like the ones given to kids.
Yet he keeps insisting….

I believe he was actually warned during the debate for displaying the badge, so that might be real.

And how do you feel with regards to people who continue to fully support and cheer for these people even though they're actively taking away people's rights, just because they're on the same side?

Do you think they're "the greatest pot smoking hippies you know?"

oooooor....

Do you think they're "fucking idiots and fucking douchebags"?

I wonder which quote of yours would be most authentic for someone to describe themselves with, is all.

Don't you just love the fact that politics is a team sport to some people and the quality and actions of the candidates don’t matter as long as they can celebrate their dominance?

I don't know if its "love" as much as it is "AHHHHHHHHHH!"

We got politicians saying dumb shit like “when is the Jan 6 committee going to investigate inflation and the rising cost of gas and groceries” and another calling the Alex Jones defamation suit “political persecution” this is shit being spewed out of the mouths of current members of Congress and yet hundreds of thousands of people will say “damn right when will the Jan 6 committee talk about the things that have nothing to do with Jan 6” and “fuck yeah the dEmOnCrAtS are persecuting Alex Jones for speaking his truth!”  We r fucked

-.-; Dude had the police called on him for threatening to shoot people and being an all around dv douchcob. That's not 'working' for law enforcement, that's being a reason for law enforcement. :|

I've actually did work for law enforcement, you don't see me running for office waving that shit around like I was Detective #1. I was 'person who won't puke when it's serious'.

Yeah, finally saw that clip of him flashing his creds. F-ing sticker on an empty prop wallet. I have a Simpsons wallet with more street cred.

He either needs to go sit quietly somewhere and watch some cartoons or sit quietly somewhere and not watch any more cartoons. I'm not sure which is the current go-to in head trauma centers. :|

Obama: dems need to stop killing the buzz.

In order to make conservatives happy we need to be less woke and acknowledge the fact that some people just don't deserve rights.

That is not what I read at all

I don’t understand how you came to that conclusion based of the things said by Obama specifically?

"And sometimes Democrats are, right? You know, sometimes, people just want to not feel as if they are walking on eggshells."

Then some other non-obama quotes that the article continues with-

Quote

We’re letting a noisy wing of our party define the rest of us,” Carville said last summer. “And my point is we can’t do that. I think these people are all kind of nice people. I think they’re very naive, and they’re all into language and identity.

[...]

Look at Long Island, look at Buffalo, look at Minneapolis, even look at Seattle, Washington. I mean, this ‘defund the police’ lunacy

[...]

Some of these people need to go to a ‘woke’ detox center or something

And here's one i'm really familiar with-

Quote

One commercial running against Wisconsin Democratic Senate nominee Mandela Barnes opens with fiery image of rioters accompanied by the words “Do you feel safe?” The ad ends by saying ominously: “Mandela Barnes: He stands with them, not us.”

(Another fun ad they're running right now- "we asked Barnes why he doesn't pay taxes, and this is what he said- [cut to Barnes at a Juneteenth function] "why y'all want to talk about TAXES, this is JUNE-TEENTH!)

Quote

Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis has built a successful national brand around his opposition to so-called woke culture. DeSantis signed a bill into law earlier this year called the “Stop Woke Act” that seeks to limit conversations about gender and race in the workplace and classroom.

Here's whats up- and newspeak is always a component of fascism, so lets keep that in mind...

The current culture war is against "wokeness". What does woke mean? Literally anything Republicans want it to mean so they can point their anger at it. And democrats have to play nice, and "see it from their point of view."

"Gee, i guess asking for police accountability is pretty radical (everyone has forgotten Uvalde). Gee, i guess acknowledging the existence of transgendered people is pretty devisive... Gee, i guess saying women should have the right to an abortion isn't making us any friends... sorry republicans, we've been bad Democrats. Looks like you'll have to start shipping us off to the re-education centers to save the world from the boogeyman of "wokeness".

Apparently, Republicans REALLY don't like freedom of speech, in the most literal sense, when it is convenient for them:

A fucking law. Already signed into place. Literally limiting free speech, literally what anti-woke people are always crying about when it doesn't even apply. And this is popular among them? Does DeSantis see the irony here? Or his supporters? Anybody right wing see a problem here?

Ron Desantis is making it EASIER for some counties in FL to vote, obviously they are in Republican strongholds

https://wusfnews.wusf.usf.edu/politics-issues/2022-10-13/desantis-extends-early-voting-in-hurricane-ian-ravaged-counties

https://amp.theguardian.com/us-news/2022/oct/14/ron-desantis-florida-hurricane-ian-voting-rules

what happened to the “state legislatures have to be the ones to change voting laws”? Wasn’t this exactly the thing many Republican members of Congress weren’t going to certify the 2020 elections over?

and his arrest spree he went on for voter fraud out of the 19 arrested at least 13 were Black and 12 were registered Democrats

no one is gonna stop this at all

And thus post-nut clarity claims another victim.

(okay I am actually sorry for this one)
