how often have you watched an anime and it made you pick up the manga?

Oh and if light novels count, also Vampire Hunter D. Although I stopped around the 4th book or so after falling behind. Didn't know there were so many when I started buying them.

Never.  I don't read manga.

...though I guess I did buy that fancy hardcover Nausicaa set, because that was one I felt like I had to own, but that's about it.

Recently, it's just been Demon Slayer and Kaguya-sama.

It's been a while since I've had shows that make me stick with the manga instead, but I used to do it quite a bit with shounen anime like Hunter x Hunter and Soul Eater. I usually prefer Slice-of-Life, but those barely get translated and, if they do, the last update would be from several years ago.

That's a lie, I know for a fact you've read My Balls.

Most of what I've read is just because I just caught up with the anime and was impatient:
Fullmetal Alchemist
Bleach
One Piece
Hero Academia
Jojo, but only through part 5

Since we're being honest, I'm not really a "reads the manga after the anime" kinda guy, or even the kind who reads manga at all.

I used to read the Naruto and Bleach manga, but gradually lost interest. I have both volumes of the FLCL manga, but mostly forgot about it since it was way different from the anime. I've also read Nana to Kaoru (up to what was current in 2011, anyways), because of fucking course I did.

I'm a weak little baby and I'm afraid to see what happens after the end of the 90s anime.

A few times. The World God Only Knows being one of them. And Mushoku Tensei. although the anime was only announced, but I felt like I should read up before the anime starts. Definitely Princess Jellyfish too.

Edit: I guess Naruto and Inuyasha count.

Not often, however if I'm really impatient with a series not getting another season fast enough (or never getting another season), I consider reading the manga.
