Ketchup

Packets of soy sauce and duck sauce from Chinese takeout that have been there who knows how long

Some kind of leftovers that probably need thrown out

my mom hoards hundreds of those those until they leak and form together in a sticky brick type mass. Then I throw them all out, she gets mad at me, and the cycle repeats

crumbs of something that somehow fell under the crisper, but cleaning it would require taking the drawer out

Pulled mine out and cleaned the bottom of that bitch Sunday. I refuse to let shit collect because I've moved in with some folks who never cleaned it and frankly, I was scared to put anything the wasn't sealed and never opened in there.

i am trying to psych myself into replacing all the big kitchen appliances and those crumbs might be the deciding factor

We replaced all the kitchen appliances last year. Do not buy a glass top stove. DO NOT DO IT.

this house came with an electric glass top and i strongly dislike it

for cooking - the pot or pan has to have a completely flat surface or it takes forever to get hot

and because it's a completely flat surface it's real easy to turn into additional counterspace, which is a total fire hazard and the house will inevitably burn down

I know what you mean. Pots and pans have to be completely flat to work on this glass top. One front burner heats up almost instantly, and the other takes forever.

I was super confused about glass tops being bad until you said electric.  We have a gas stove with a glass "top" and I forgot electric stoves were a thing.

A gas stove is one of my top priorities when looking for a place to live. Always had gas growing up and then my first apartment had one of the shitty electric coil stoves. Never again.

my first apartment had an electric coil too and it was very difficult to get things to the temperature i wanted them to be. down here it's hard to find places that use gas though. luckily my place now has it

dunno man. i love me my induction cooktop.

anyways, something in everyone's fridge...how about salad dressing. yeah, a bottle of dressing that's 3 years past date because it only got used that one time when you tried to get into making decent salads at home, but ended up only making one salad and everything spoiled after that and was thrown out, except for that fucking italian dressing that's separated into dirt and oil inside the jar.
