Cats

As somebody who bought cat food for strays in Korea, this is a good surprising response.

There's this dinky little "lake" (it's a pond) on the campus of my old university and the smoking porch of the performing arts center overlooks it.

Myself and the other students would sit out there and throw bits of sandwich or potato chips in the water for the ducks or fish.

Birds.  It mainly gets eaten by a spoiled Squirrel in my backyard though

I bought like 3 things from the store that claim to keep Squirrels out the bird feeder and they've all failed

at this point I want to shoot it with a BB gun that's pumped like 1-2 times so it just sends a message but I kind of respect the fucker at this point

it's pulled some legit 10/10 tricks in gymnastics to get to the bird feeder

grackles are jerks, though.  Sure, they look all iridescent and cool, but they bully other birds and eat baby sparrows

I like feeding the birds.  Depending on what kinds of birdseed you put out, you get different birds to show up.  I like cardinals, chickadees, woodpeckers, and nuthatches myself.  Also, the tufted titmouse, because they look cool and have a funny name.

Ducks, but I can't get them to join forces with me. I want a pet lion so that I can get him to maul my beta male OKC enemies and convince OKC girls to stop ignoring me. 🦁

I've seen the blue jays be assholes, I never saw the cardinals be jerks at my birdfeeder anyway.  I guess it wouldn't be super surprising.

squirrels

birds

armadillos (by default)

possum.

deer.

foxes. ~ is that right? the plural of fox is foxes? seems weird.

any stray that comes be~boppin' in the yard.

Lots of good choices here! I'm curious about the default armadillo comment.

Also, yes, foxes

well, when i turn the garden, i make sure to turn some ground a bit away from it.

that way they have plenty of places to dig through, without headed to the 'sacred veggies'

I like having rabbits hang out in my yard too.  I'm not directly feeding them, but they come by now and then to chew on the grass and dandelions.  One of the reasons I don't use chemicals on my lawn.

Birds and deer.

There was once a horse that would venture into our yard back when I was a kid, but it turns out that she had an owner, so that doesn't count.
