i do. almost on a daily basis.

i lay in the bed and think 'don't get out, don't get out'

but, before i can even finish the statement, my body forces me to face the day.

then, i get my day going. basically i fake it until i make it.

that pretty much describes my life.

sorry to hear that.

i don't want to do any of it anymore.

not depression exactly, more like total apathy.

like i'd rather just not... any of it. and just go back to bed for the day.

or this? maybe a little laughter.

dang it. i can never get shit to post right.

ANYWAY~

another fine day, ruined by responsibility.

Thats still depression.  Might not be severe but thats what it is.

I'm legit asking, because I'm the type of person who people say is depressed, but I'm not....I just don't give a fuck....So why would an apathetic approach be depression.....I like the feeling of being able to blow shit off and not give 2 shits about the repercussions......The only time I do actually feel depressed is when I care too much about shit and I know the payoff won't be worth my mental anguish.

once in a while, on those days i do one of two things

most often i give myself to the count of five and force myself up, any longer than that gives you a higher chance of giving in. other times i deem it okay to take a day to sleep in to whenever i feel like and reflect on things meaningfully until i've purged it out of my system for the next day. but thats me and not all people can do that. for some it just creates a spiral that leads into the coming days. which is why forcing yourself up is usually the best option.

Quite often. Apathy and depression can suck. Lately I’ve been taking Kanna powder and Noopept. It seems to help as far as legal stimulants go

i use kratom for the same reasons.

curious. what's kanna like?

Kratom is great. I use a 50/50 mix of white vein and green md. And kanna doesn’t have the opioid effects like kratom does. It just gives me a good mood boost, which I enjoy. Though some people it doesn’t seem to effect. So it can be trial and error. And Noopept is legal. It’s a nootropic. A smart drug. It’s 1,000 more potent than Piercatam. Idk if I spelled that right

cool. thanks. i'll look into both.

kratom has its... drawbacks.

most notably the necessary use of a fiber supplement to uhm... keep everything moving.

Yeah I know what you mean. That’s why I like and dislike it hahaha

For Noopept, it’s very strong. I’d start at 10-20mg. If it’s too much, there’s lots of nootropics out there. But white vein kratom mixed with green md gives me a nice boost that isn’t so short lived

overrated. Kratom isn't going to solve anyone's problems.

No, it won’t. But it’s what helps me get by. At least until I can find a permanent solution. Those with a large amount of apathy and depression cope. It’s just what I use. Some days are better than others. I’m slowly making progress with myself though. So overrated or not, it helps

Not usually...I mean there are definite factors...like if I wake up and the first think I do is spill my setting power all over the floor...or I walk out of the house without a bottle of water...if we have a substitute pharmacist....

shitty things = shitty results

There is a difference between apathy and depression but what he described is depression. I fell mostly apathetic lots of times. When it gets to a point where you don't or can't get motivated or just want to avoid something, thats the point it becomes depression.

All the time. Everything hurts and nothing works.

This is why I have a cat. I don't want to get up but she needs me to get up. She needs her kibbles, she needs her laser pointer toy turned on, she needs things. And if I don't get up, she will make me get up. So I get up and deal with her needs and the birds' needs and go to work so I can buy more foods and toys for the beastlies.

Sounds like a perfectly logical and rational response to the world to me. It's the bubbly airheads with nothing to say about anything relevant who have the mental disorders.

Honestly gotta say this sounds like a healthy response to the world sometimes. This is a shit place. A person that looks at the world and is absolutely pleased is out of their fucking mind. Sometimes you need a real break from the entirety of reality and take some time to live your own life and know what it is. That sentence feels so wrong but I am so fucking twisted. People who worry about depression symptoms expect to be happy all the time, and that's weird. Being sad is a part of life. Depression is a problem, but if you hate cold weather and you just become a recluse in cold weather, is that a real issue that needs managing?
