OwlChemist81 Posted March 30, 2018 Share Posted March 30, 2018 (edited) Both seasons' first 11 episodes were fine, but then the 12th went on a tangent that was just mind-boggling, involving Kaneki's bizarre torture plot and not a progression of the main action which featured the reveal of the One-Eyed Owl, which was hinted at in Episode 11 of Season 1 but didn't show up until the first episode of Root A. And then Root A's 12th episode also went in a bizarre direction rather than continuing the storyline of the new "true" One-Eyed Owl. Apparently the upcoming 3rd season is from a different manga, so I don't even have a clue how it's gonna go... Had they even met before that? Ridiculous origin story. Kaneki stabbing himself with a knife and the knife breaking because ghouls are immune to normal weapons..... then he cuts his finger on a broken tea cup a few episodes later. That last one is just pure awful. Jason hated the hell out of Rize, mainly because she was strong and did whatever the hell she wanted which included not listening or following him and causing problems in his territories. When Kaneki got the transplant, his 'smell' changed with the strongest part of that particular essence being Rize-smell. So it pissed him off to no end because it was and wasn't the person he wanted to beat on. Ghouls can bleed but I think the level of their own emotions helps to toughen them up. When he tries to stab himself he was worked up over it and freaking out so his ghoul side would have been ramped up too preparing for an attack. When he cut his finger on the cup, he wasn't in a situation where a fight of any kind was expected. I believe Ken was even able to Tsukiyama a real nose bleed with a simple punch because a simple physical attack like that wasn't expected. Yeah, I like Tokyo Ghoul too. Anyway, pitching this to the top of the heap for the night because why the hell not? My prediction is that the 'earliest' they might do anything is midnight their time unless they really want to potentially air something uncensored, then it'll wait until 1a their time just to be safe.
