Unless it's going to bring serious rainfall and flooding danger, the only places that really need to worry are near landfall. Once the eye starts falling apart, it's nothing exceptional.

So, I meant to post this earlier in the week or something, a thought I had related to that whole Hank possibly henching theory or whatever. Sponges was pretty much on the nose already, but the thought I had was, as much as Hank idolizes Batman, I knew he'd never go down that road. But seems like pretty much all the theories came together pretty well. Everything just sorta blew over, and Hank is hitting his own "finding himself" part of life. Overall, almost a bit disappointing, with no real big twists or cliffhangers. The big family secret is out in the open (maybe). The Monarch and the Guild seem to be back to the status quo. Like, all I can really think of for the future is just how this makes a decent end point, wrap up some loose threads, start in on the next saga if it's going to keep going. Hank's deal is still a little up in the air, but otherwise?

That's because the lady doctor hasn't even premiered yet. BBC America is marathoning until the premier next week.

This was the big flaw in your plan. Nobody here will ever amount to anything.

Ah, right. Morrel did seem to be trying to get around the fight. -
Hunter x Hunter Episode 113 Discussion Thread

Was also confused by that line. Not really too bothered by all the slo mo and narrating. I think it puts into perspective how intense this is supposed to be. No monologuing, no grand standing. They all know this is now or never time, and they're throwing everything they've got into it. Less talk, more action. Also not entirely sure where Knuckle fits into the plan at this point. Wasn't he supposed to be dashing to the king? Or is he just the secret weapon in the stairway fight? Maybe we could do with a recap of what folks are actually trying to accomplish in all this mess. Everyone in the stairway keeping one royal guard occupied. Ikalgo is going after Palm I think? Gon and Kill were... also trying to find the king? Were they basically all planning on splitting up and aiming for the king, or keeping the attention of a royal guard, depending on who they ran into first? -
Attack on Titan Episode #43 (306) Discussion

Kid eating his dad and hopefully all the psychological trauma that comes with it almost makes up for kid not staying dead at the start of the series. -
flcl sequels FLCL Alternative Episode 4

I was really hoping this season would grow out of such shallow writing. Each episode's theme just feels too obvious and forced. Despite that, still mostly enjoying character interactions. -
naruto Naruto Shippuden Episode 220 Discussion
rpgamer replied to StarPanda's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
One thing I really with the localization team took a bit of liberty with was (what I assume is) Naruto's nicknames for people. "Pervy sage" might be funny as a joke once in a while, but when he uses it so much it's clearly literally what he refers to him as, eh, not so much. "Granny Tsunade" or whatever. Old frog sage, or I don't even remember what dumb thing he came up with. Maybe it works better in Japanese, but it sounds really retarded in English. Also a bit disappointing that this jump in time slot coincides with nearly-filler trash. -
The Worst Thing About the New Season of SAO
rpgamer replied to PokeNirvash's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
Your friend wants to give you cancer by suggesting cancer shows. All things considered, not sure I could blame them. I need to go punish my brain for opening this thread and reminding me of just how bad this show was. The very idea of having both Jojo and SAO airing on Toonami at the same time makes me want to give up on tv altogether. -
I don't care enough about my appearance to bother with maintenance and upkeep. I'm hairy enough as is. Don't need to go full werewolf.

Oh no. Buddy's gotta come in and white (black?) knight cuz someone's talkin shit. Kinda entertaining, really. Get all uppity after one shitpost comment directed towards someone you like. I simply didn't see any other purpose for this thread existing. It's basically a fuggs thread. And you know if this were posted by her, there'd be a lot more shitposting here. But I just needed a few snarky posts in before bed.

Better blog it on the internets to get some of that thirsty boi sympathy.

10 Years Ago, Toonami was cancelled on CN...

I think you're confusing the fans of anime that are willing to give shows a try, or seek shows out, or are generally interested in the medium, with the general viewer audience, that is less concerned with what is or isn't anime, but simply wants entertainment. DBZ got big because it attracted the latter. Sports animes are limited in scope due to the former. -
Any damn fool can put on a pair of pants. It takes a helluva man to wear a skirt.

They usually have volume buttons that allow you to mute them. Don't need to hear that thing screeching at me every item. But it's pretty awful when it demands an associate to clear something for no reason. I've learned that pressing the upper right corner during that is like hitting X on a browser window. Too bad it just proceeds to the employee ID code screen. But they're often rather surprised/confused that I made it to that screen.

Plus the whole point that tennis fans and anime fans simply don't have a lot of overlap. -

There were a lot of disaster picks at the time, but Prince of Tennis will forever stand out to me as the most out of touch choice they ever made. Most of the other crap at least had the right kids shounen vibe, but damn, whose idea was it to put a sports anime, about tennis, no less, into a block targeting kids (boys), who just want to watch shows like Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh. -
How? I've had the same pair of glasses for, like, 15 years or something.

FLCL Alternative (the *real* forgotten show), Episode 3
rpgamer replied to Blatch's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
Despite the lack of action, this still feels very FLCL. In that, we still have no idea what the fuck is going on with anything, and (hopefully), things start coming to a head and getting some explanation before the end, when it will take several rewatches to really catch all the hints of underlying plot, while still leaving a million questions unanswered. All the pins dotting the landscape are certainly ominous. -
