A question for you, with a somewhat similar mindset. Do you find that there's anything in life you truly fear? Like, that gut-wrenching, brain shuts down fear. Not just a momentary surge of panic at some potentially serious threat; I'm not entirely sure that ever goes away, hard wired. Maybe it's just my relatively boring comfortably life style, but, I've often thought that, without that fear of death, all other fears just can't seem to catch hold.

I thought to myself somewhere in my 20s "Am I seriously expected to keep doing all this same boring shit every day every year for another 60+ years?" It's like being stuck on a roller coaster forever. Kinda fun and novel at first, before descending into monotony.

If I watched or bought movies, I'd be making the same argument. I've already paid for the product, and have the capacity to enjoy the product I've paid for. But really, that just means I'm not the target audience here. That's fine. These are good games, worth having. Since having them on the Switch vs Wii offers no benefit to me, I'm good here.
-
Should've thought of that before expecting more money for products we've already paid for. At least for me, I still have my Wii, and pretty sure I bought 64 on the VC there. So, that, plus backwards compatibility to play Sunshine, native Galaxy (and 2). This'll be a solid pass.

Really tho. Why don't they make bubblegum flavored toothpaste for adults? What if I wanted to use some very berry flavor instead of boring mint? Cotton candy! Chocolate! Starting to think this is another one of those things where we're just made to expect growing up means not having fun. Being an adult means you either get mint, or, if you're daring, cinnamon. How exciting. Grown ups are dull.

There really needs to be more than 2-3 options when it comes to toothpaste flavors.

Jackson Public confirms Venture Brothers has been cancelled

Is that still happening? I keep tuning in, and it's still there... VB has probably been doomed for a while. Undoubtedly expensive production, stupidly long breaks. They just naturally killed all the momentum they may have had. What can you expect when nobody remembers you exist? I would further ask, did they truly expect, back in the beginning, that it would take so long to tell the story they had? Cuz, either they've been dragging it out, or they've been dragging their asses. -
This is the only thing I know about the song, and so I'm sharing this cursed video whenever it comes up.

Bill McClintock and DJ Cummbund are now my go-tos for cursed mashups. -
Tell him to be a man and walk it off. I mean, toxic masculinity's got to be good for something, right?

I tend to avoid the more social aspects of the game. Kinda nice that there's no great incentive for it.

He was the one that bumped it, yes. -
Thought this was going to be some ryanfromtheshire memorial post.

I'm not old enough to remember Crimm, but I am old enough to remember it's all his fault.

If it's a reunion we're going for, I might be able to dig up a MysticJhn. But I think he might've mostly been a Comedy dude that maybe few remember. And also it's maybe weird/creepy coming from me when nobody knows who I am/was. Lurker life. I recognize many, even if I don't post much.

Sometimes I feel a twinge of concern that I don't seem to have a normal fear response. Does that count?

False memories aren't the real problem. The problem is once you start questioning all memories. I think I remember a lot of things. But, I don't know how much of it is real. There are things I know that I don't know how or where or when I learned them. There are moments I remember living through years ago in a dream. Once you start questioning, any individual false memory doesn't really stand out. You've already accepted that your memory is fallible. Each one is simply a reminder to never be certain of what you remember.

batman Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 and 2 Discussion
rpgamer replied to 3ngag3's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
Batman can't kill Joker because he represents a part of him. Even here, we see that, in the end, Batman still couldn't kill him. Left him maimed and paralyzed, sure. But Joker had to finish the job himself. Batman could no sooner kill Joker than he could conquer his own psychoses. And given his last words to Joker, you could question whether he'll ever be rid of him for good. "Stop laughing." -
Bad News For Stuart Baker/Unkown Hinson/Squidbillies fans

That's... one way to do it, I guess. Would probably expect she'd be more likely to be on board if she's just playing herself, which seems like a role that would be far more fitting. I don't think they'd need to have her reading his lines to "face the issue." Letting her spread her message (within the structure of the show), while denying him an audience for his, is as blunt about it as they'd need to be. Whatever they do with it, it seems fitting to have Dan Halen ruin it all with capitalism at the end. -

Can [as] reach out to Dolly Parton for a special guest episode, for that sweet sweet ironic comeuppance? -
It's a very easy response to turn off once you get the hang of it. Just channel your inner Croc Hunter. Be one with the animal. They're pretty chill. Just exploring.
