Buc-ee's

Have y'all ever been to this abomination of capitalism?  Like Idiocracy?  If not, it's a massive gas station that's almost the size of a small Wal-Mart, with literally 100 gas pumps, and a huge bespoke shopping area, and any food you could want as far as BBQ.

It's a nightmare.

 

There's one north of Atlanta that my wife and I stop in when we're going to Tennessee, and if you hit it at the right time, it's only VERY anxiety inducing with all the people.  If you hit it at the wrong time, like we did in South Carolina, on July 4th...I still shudder.  It was like standing at a rollercoaster line that is in all direction with people coming at you in all directions.  You're in line for your existence.

 

The sandwiches are nice.

I’ve passed by Bucee’s quite a few times on my random travels, but never once dared to go inside. Even from the outside, the whole place just screams “introvert’s worst nightmare”.

It is.  It's bonkers in there and in the parking lot, and getting in, and getting out.  The whole thing is so painful.  It's unfortunately been canonized into tradition, since we often go to the mountains for our anniversary and this is part of the trip...

Everything from clothes to fkn tablets...but that's not what you go in for...noooo...its the brisket sammich, strawberry lemonade and those awful corn nut things that someone in the car always buys and wants to share.... I've had them before, they suck...stop asking do I want some.

I have a shirt...i saw it when i did laundry today. Now I shall wear it when I drop my son off in the morning, because the beaver has spoken.... I think its a beaver.

Wawa has pretty good sammiches but I haven’t been for a while 

gas station bbq sounds really good though. Probably not as good as gas station sushi

I thought Buc-ee's were truck stops.  We don't have them out here AFAIK.  I did see the one in Goodyear, but I didn't need gas at the time so I didn't stop.

It's pretty annoying to hear the meat department shout every 2 seconds they're cutting a slab of meat and do some weird chant.

Only impressive thing was their bathrooms. They have lights on the top of the doors to say if they're vacant or not also a toilet seat cleaner and hand sany in the stall with you.

Nope. They are 24/7, clean bathroom, extreme travel shopping brisket paradises for cars. They don’t allow trucks (18-wheelers) at them. It’s pretty awesome.

When i posted about the shirt a month ago, i had no interest in showing it.... yesterday, i noticed i was wearing it and said "oh, lets add this to the thread". 

I'm visibly here at least 5 days out of the week...I bump shit when i have a relevant excuse....you incognito this shit daily then pull up to necro shit outta nowhere to cover up your lurking like its fooling anyone....for whatever reason, and even then your posts are disingenuous and in some cases, just blatant copies of what other people said.
