Good News

I’m feeling pretty down lately, and it feels like there’s only doom and gloom in any sort of news, so let’s change those vibes!

Tell us some good news. Tell us something going on that you’re happy about. 
 

My best friend and his fiance just bought a townhome a block away from us. It’s going to be so good to have them living close again, we can pop in so easy that it feels like we’re neighbors. In fact they bought this place so they could be close to me and my wife. It’s a blessing.

I got a new fridge in my apartment. Maybe the tariffs helped to accelerate management acting quickly on this. That's something, I guess. Some of my food got freezer burn from the compressor jot working properly. No more.

My bedroom TV, which has not connected to my WiFi in at least a month, is somehow back to working again. It may or may not be temporary but I’ll take it. I was growing very tired of watching everything on my phone or laptop.

Had a couple of my tapes digitized. I recorded a closet full so obviously not all, but I’m more considerate of the process now instead of irrationally wary.

If I ever follow through on leaving US to go live near where I was born then a flash drive of my marathons might be helpful. But I don’t wanna fully give up on the VHS method just because it’s been a long time. Holds certain value to me even now.

Chuck E Cheese was awesome. We had a great time and there were so few people there. The Halo arcade machine is legit. Today was a 10/10 fantastic day that I really needed.

Reddit finally removed the unwarranted warning on my account and restored the “offending” comment with an apology. A small, fairly meaningless win, but a win nonetheless.

The family went to the renaissance festival today and it was great. We sat in the front row for Barely Balamced and both my wife and grandson got honestly 40 compliments on their costumes.
