Since you asked so nicely.

This has easily been the greatest 3 week start to a Presidency in my lifetime. This is what everyone hoped Trump would do his first term. He wasnt prepared then, he is now.  Really, we should be thanking Democrats for winning in 2020 and then going the full lawfare route. It allowed Trump to actually prepare for how to govern this time. If he didnt lose in 2020, it would have just been 4 more years of muddling around. But he lost, and then he was able to learn and now know what to do. Its clear that he spent 4 years learning from his mistakes in the first term.

And it shows. Hes not just going at government fraud and waste, hes destroying the pillars that hold it up. Killing USAID was a masterstroke, and completely unexpected. The waste in that agency that has been exposed is damn near criminal. Its pretty clear that it was just money laundering to special interests and NGOs.

Gutting entire agencies, removing their authority, downsizing the government. This is everything that we have hoped a Republican would do, but they never did because they were giant pussies who were too concerned about the fallout. Trump doesnt care about the fallout. Hes doing what needs to be done, and its great.

DOGE will go down as one of the most consequential acts of any President. And funny enough, we have Obama to thank for it. The authority that DOGE is operating under was first created by Obama during Obamacare. Trump tried to get rid of it in his first term, and he failed. Then Biden came along and turned it into a political appointed position, which meant that Trump was free to do the same. And boy did he. Watching what DOGE has been doing on a daily basis is just great. Fantastic work, and I cant wait to see what else they do.

The added bonus has been watching Democrats completely lose it. Full blown hypocrisy, unhinged screeching, and just a complete disconnect with reality. Trump truly has broken the left this time, and its just glorious to watch. The Democratic party is polling in the low 30%s, while Trump is the most popular he has ever been. There has been a clear shift in this country, and its just glorious. Conservatives are more united than they have ever been, and Democrats are in complete disarray. Could not be more pleased with how the start of the 2nd Trump Administration has gone.

Some people are just straight up fuckin assholes. As popular as Trump might be it’s only because of his cruelty. Once inflation continues to soar and prices continue upward on groceries people will turn on him. Musk is already unpopular. His numbers are way down

One very worrying thing about USAID going away is the potential of another HIV outbreak, something we don't really have to worry about these days. If a person is properly medicated, they cannot pass the virus onto another person via sex. In developing countries, the medication typically costs less than a dollar a day. If a medicated person no longer has access to their medication, their viral load will rise and they potentially will become resistant to the medication and have to use a more expensive medication.

And of course South Africa, Felon Musk's country, would be critically affected by this problem more than other countries.

Once HIV starts spreading unchecked across the globe, Nations will start to destabilize.  A lot of disease and violence can spread as a result of this and we’re not even getting into halted studies and the people walking around with experimental vaccines running through their veins, if complications arise there’s nowhere for the participants to go. The studies are shutdown.

with that said many Americans won’t care. HIV is a “lifestyle” disease in their estimation. Those people “deserve to die” is how they think.

Gabbard got confirmed as Director of National... well it used to be Intelligence, but I don't know what you would call it now. Incompetence, or maybe idiocy I guess. McConnell was the only republican to vote no along with all the democrats. :disassociate: What kind of shambolic nightmare are we living in? Seriously. Somebody wake me up already.

I saw that. The country is an absolute joke.

Well, most cases of HIV in Africa are from heterosexual intercourse, so there is also an element of racism at play. I think the most likely scenario is China stepping in to fill the gaps left behind the US leaves. In other words, Chinese soft power is increasing and American soft power is waning.

Most cases of HIV are spread through heterosexual contact because of drugs but more likely prostitution. “Those people deserve it” race too but definitely people here see it as a lifestyle choice

If this is what it takes to end the global post-COVID inflation anti-incumbent streak, I guess there's a silver lining in it.

My only hope at this point is that he, now able to profit off the vaccine apparatus, is that he leaves it alone so he can profit.  Since it’s clear that he has no convictions, just greed.  Just leave it alone and focus on reducing the amount of processed food, and maybe HFCS subsidies.  Simple shit that could get bipartisan support.

If people start dying because of him, things will go south in a hurry.

He definitely was. Still surprised. Isn’t he retiring or something. Maybe that’s why he is pretending to have a spine

He stepped down as leader and has two years left, so he doesn't have to carry water anymore.

So where Trump diverges from Reagan Republicanism (global affairs, whatever RFKjr is), he votes no.

If he was tie-breaking he probably wouldn't.

Naw.

This is too little, too late to try to set his legacy as anything other than shitty turtle that obstructed anything and everything that would benefit actual taxpayers for decades.

Rough draft parody to the tune of Sound of Silence

                The Death of Science

Hello Polio my old friend. I come to talk with you again. Because science is reeling, from all that government stealing. RFK Jr came and took over the HHS with worms in his brain. That still remain. He welcomes the death of science.

In fever dreams I walked alone, down filthy streets full of measles and polio. Underneath a burnt out street lamp, I turned and hacked out something black. Then a vision from lack of oxygen pierced my brain. Just lies remain. As we witness the death of science

In the polluted light I saw one hundred thousand dying, maybe more.
People wheezing, barely breathing. People crying, from their skin they are bleeding.
Children dying before being able to write songs now no one will get a chance to hear. The billionaires cheer the death of science

We plead with you, because you do not know. Doubt in science like a cancer grows. We hope and pray these words reach you. Take this vaccine so that science may heal you. But our words only disappeared. Falling on deaf ears. Now hatred grows and echoes the death of science

And the people bowed and prayed to the Tangerine god that they made. But the screams of the Prophets are ignored from politicians’ walls. Dying in Capitol halls. They dare not disturb the death of science.
