genocide

: acts committed with intent to partially or wholly destroy a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group

: the deliberate and systematic destruction of a racial, political, or cultural group

This can be done with means aside from murder.   One example would be forced
assimilation
The US separated Native Americans from their families in an attempt to snub out their culture.  This is called cultural Genocide.

Side note..."Anti-Communist clown"?
Have you completely lost it?  Since when is communism good?

It seems dots need to be connected for those who seem to think a forced famine is not an intentional act....

The Holodomor is "intentional" because the act of reforming the socioeconomic system in such a way necessitates losses.  Stalin (or rather the Communist Party members responsible for implementing the new communist system) eliminated certain jobs in the old system without factoring in how the old skill sets could be transitioned into the new system.  This created certain groups that were unable to provide for their own well being without any effective way to integrate them.  In sociology, this is factored as an acceptable loss meaning the Russian Communists expected a certain amount of people to die.

Well, there you have it.

Unlike the genocide of Native Americans, the potato famine and the holodomor were not intentional acts of mass murder, ergo, not genocide.

I'm glad you got to learn something today.

Don't be a simpleton. Communism will win.

See, this is the kind of shit that leads me to suspect that you're trolling.

....this whole arc has been kinda bothering me.

Because honestly, how is communism worst than capitalism...of course nabs IS trolling, because he's basically saying Russia has this in the bag and we're wasting our time.  That's just horseshit, but the sentiment that communism is inherently bad bothers me because it's not, it all depends on what fragile ego eunochs you have in power.

Personally, I don't in any way want to live ve under communism, but that's mostly because I'm deeply ensconced in this capitalist shit and it's not too bad save for the uncertainty of random violence and possible liver failure from imbibing liquid THC, but not too bad.

Right, and it ignores the fact that the only Communist systems that even REMOTELY work do so because they were smart enough to spot-weld free market-type economies on instead of the "the government owns everything, surely this won't create inefficiencies of scale or inferior products that no one else in the world wants"

I thought we were just giving Ukraine weapons to protect themselves and retake land Russia seized.  Long range drones are a bit out of that category of weapons platform.

You can blame the old Russian stockpiles.  These were apparently old Soviet-era recon drones (1980s) turned into impromptu cruise missiles, the Tu-141.

A defensive missile system is a pretty easy justification.  And considering the bombings, they could use it.

The Russian reaction to this news is as sad as it is predictable.  They are saying its an escalation, is direct interference in the war, and is a legitimate target.

To which I say, no, really? A military asset is a legitimate target? Going to be a lot harder to hit than those apartment blocks and electrical substations you are bombing. Im really looking forward to these systems swatting the few remaining missiles Russia has out of the sky.

I'm all for this move. Ukraine needs to be given whatever it wants. Beyond the whole "Ukraine is a legitimate sovereign nation that should be allowed to exist" thing, for a very small investment we are watching the entire Russian army get destroyed. Ukraine has shown a willingness to fight, so lets keep arming them. The better Ukraine does, the better the world does.

This is really how you people actually think.

They're most likely sending them now that Russia's supply of projectiles is depleted.  At this point, anything is going to be an "escalation" given that they're at the end stages of critically low morale, but its not likely to motivate either Russian troops who are still woefully under equipped or Ukrainian troops who haven't had to really concern themselves with air defense so far.  It really is just  a more direct response to the ever-so-slight increased threat of tactical nuclear deployment, making such a deployment more difficult for the Russians and giving Ukrainians, military and civilian alike, greater peace of mind, once they're deployed.

Really good press conference there between Biden and Zelensky. Zelensky will still address Congress later, but its pretty clear that he is the right man for the job.

Give Ukraine whatever they need to end this war. Biden confirmed that Ukraine will be getting the PATRIOT system, which is huge for defending their infrastructure.

Just some nice clean far right-wing white people carrying torches and heirloom Nazi insignia who are very concerned with being "replaced," normal Nazi battalion shit for this time of year.

Merry Christmas to everyone, but especially to all of the Nazi military regiments in Europe who America has been heavily arming all year long despite the US Congress specifically banning provisioning Azov with weapons in 2018, back when opposing Nazis was still en vogue.

Just move to Russia already.  While you're there,  maybe you can enlist in their military who have attacked innocent civilians including women and children.
Maybe Putin will pick you as his best bud.

There is one far right battalion.  That's it.  It is in no way representative of the whole of Ukraine just like how the KKK don't represent the U.S.

Why in the actual fuck do you keep defending Russia?  Don't tell me that you're not because you fucking are.
Just not directly.
