Hey y'all what do I put on a wedding registry?

1. Fuck keurig what's the point in brewing just a tiny little bit of coffee?

2. We just bought a new coffee pot and I've got so many kitchen accessories we've gotten over the years that we've never used (waffle iron, food processor, blender, all just sitting in the boxes)

3. Same with lamps believe it or not. We have so many extra lamps in this house I took one apart to use it as the base for a globe I made.

Didn't you already get married....Because if you can ask for gifts long after the wedding, that's a game changer.

Technically, we did a courthouse shotgun wedding last year for financial reasons, but our actual ceremony/celebration thing that people are invited to is this year.

We've had one wedding yes, but what about second wedding?

Second breakfast 'the most important meal of the day', claim ...

Well, what are things you don't have and could use? Doesn't have to be kitchen stuff or furniture. Could be anything really. And if you can't think of anything you can always just ask for money.

I need a dragon statue for my garden, but nooooo.

Those are nice, I'll give you that one.

Wife wants a new dish set.

I mean we've got more cups and bowls than our cabinet can fit, but I suppose we can just destroy them all because that's consumerism.

Well maybe if someone would quit fucking breaking all the ceramic dishes we wouldn't need another set.

I feel like I need to fact check you on here sometimes....

I struggled to find stuff to put on ours because we'd already lived together for almost 3 years and been in a house for the last 8 months of that. I ended up putting stuff we didn't really "need" on there but was just upgraded versions of stuff we already had. Nice towels and sheets, new silverware since we had like 4 butter knives, stuff like that.

In the end we just ended up getting mostly cash since I don't think most people found the registry (I had a link to it on our wedding website but I think a lot of people missed the website altogether since I forgot to get separate insert cards with a link to it and just had it on the back of our RSVP cards). I was happy with that.

Honestly couldn't tell you specific specifics because everyone is different. Some are fine with a ton of things from like WalMart while there are the occasional assholes that only seem to want things from Neuman Marcus or said high-priced equivalent and anything else will cause hives and rages.

All I do know is some high end items, many mid-level items, and a decent selection of 'cheap' things so people who want to get y'all something won't feel like they need to go into debt just to show a little support.

Also...gift cards? Doesn't have to be a physical shop either. There are plenty of online shopping sites that offer gift cards which would allow you to pick out things that you like without someone else attempting to get you something that you might already have or might not fit. It's the option for those who would want to get a gift but are loath to just go straight cash [ which isn't a bad option either but if you want stuff, gift card covers that with just the cost of a stamp ] .

Also I accidentally put a fork in there the other day, don't tell the wife.

I think she knows...

You got a new coffee pot, do you have a good coffee grinder so you can buy beans in bulk?  Pre-ground is always too fine, and the in-store grinders are usually disgusting.

Canning gear (jars, lids, pressure cooker)?  That could come in handy shortly, if you don't have it already.

Any tools you've longed for?  I see no reason why hardware should not be wedding gifts.

Im more than fine with Walmart .... so if anybody wants to get me that fancy keurig so I can pretend I drink coffee enough to warrant it

I mean ... I could get it myself. Infact I went in walmart for spinach and Tide and almost got it while I was distracted in the homegoods section.

Our current microwave is pretty old, came with the house.

Ask for socks and boxer briefs waist size 30

Then send them all to me along with at least 300 more photos of your pupper

Like 3 feet and it has to be a specific style of dragon.

Also those conversations about inviting board people always end with "but i swore an oath that if any of us should meet we must fight to the death."

Ok nvm its not that big but now I'm curious what kind of dragon

Edit: oh wait.. Time Dragon?

Say no more, I will be there to support y'all.

It will hopefully be pretty awesome. I want it to be like a big backyard party, I try to describe it as like Bilbo's birthday but not everyone gets that.

Caterer has like a trailer of grills for bbq, big fire pit, yard games, karaoke and dancing. For dessert having pies and a build your own caramel apple station. All taking place at my parents horse farm along their small orchard and some big tents.

Just gotta deal with lots of people. I have a HUGE family and we are..... well we've been described as "mafia-esque" before....
