  1. Only Ichigo, Orihime, Uryu, and Yuzu are from the original dub. Everyone else was ignored and overlooked. Michelle Ruff was outright ignored up until Netflix made the announcement on Twitter that they finished an English dub.
  2. He modeled Rei after his late wife. Of course, the answer is yes
  3. Persona 3 - 5’s Dancing games Mario Kart 8 Street Fighter 5 Danganronpa 2
  4. One complements the other. Otherwise you don’t have as many images that cater to both.
  5. The good thing about goblins is that they aren’t able to vocalize how exciting it is to assault women. The camera also hasn’t revelled in the women’s agony or assets during the act. There are no upsides to rape in this universe and it’s not used, attempted or otherwise, to delegitimize the strength of women as a whole in the universe. That’s already far more positive in comparison to every SAO instance where rape is used to cuckhold the audience into a state of anger/jealousy over their strong heroines being vulnerable after all until the hero can swoop in to save the day.
  6. Shin Megumi Tensei encompasses all genres. Action, RPG, Fighting game, Rhythm game, Romance, Strategy, Shooter, Puzzle, whatever Jack Bros is supposed to be.
  7. David Bowie - Let's Dance Aha - Take on Me Wham! - Last Christmas For the most part, 80's - 90's music
  8. The rate can be anywhere between 0 and 4 depending on how awful I feel that day. Note that in order to not feel awful, I’d need at least 1-2
  9. I have both
  10. Amazing how Goblin Slayer handles rape in a more serious, subtle manner than Sword Art Online.
  11. Back when I watched Turn A, I was starting to look into the universe, especially since that one takes place generations into the future of the original timeline. But from my understanding, you have the century with Amuro/Char, and centuries dedicated to each spinoff that doesn’t mention the Zeon/Federation. Some shows wedge themselves into the Amuro/Char timeline either through direct involvement with the two (the Zeta or ZZ series) or behind the scenes of events in the original series (War in the Pocket, 08th team). Stuff like Wing, 00, and Seed have their own timelines, but all can kinda intersect with spinoffs or homages like characters that wear Char helmets and whatnot.

  13. Is FIFA a Dynasty Warriors game?
  14. Cholula or Crystal for most things, but sriracha for meat & rice.
  15. CG anime is depressing, but the concept art looks good and it doesn’t look like the weirdest thing to have spawned from GitS.
  16. I still haven’t gotten around to seeing Alternative beyond the subbed April Fools broadcast because of the bad taste Progressive left behind.
  17. The S.O.S. that the My Sister, The Writer put in their ending credits and Marchen Madchen getting canceled during its broadcast were some of the biggest highlights in 2018 anime disasters. Of the anime present, I made the mistake of watching all of Cutie Honey Universe. I assumed it'd be a nice gateway into Cutie Honey, but it was a miserable slog. The twists they made were even worse because they made Honey even more of a colossal idiot for not seeing traps or weak disguises that everyone else saw from a mile away.
  18. I used to like it for a couple years back in middle school, but now I’d just rather watch the Yule log channel
  19. I skimmed through the video to write these down. But by all accounts, all of these shows are ass. 10. Marchen Madchen 9. Cutie Honey Universe 8. Lord of Vermillion 7. My Sister, The Writer 6. Hakyu Hoshin Engi 5. The Thousand Noble Musketeers 4. Between the Sky and Sea 3. Conception 2. Himote House 1. CGI Fist of the North Star Re:Genesis
  20. That’s weird. The dub might have a little age to it and not as much polish, but it’s the version everyone already knows. The three remake movies also brought back almost the entire cast so Americans have already had 15 years of familiarity with the cast. Akira and pre-Miramax/Disney Ghibli films could get away with it because obscure anime dubs had barely any mass exposure from the public before Disney or Bang Zoom/Streamline came in to the rescue. Or with Sailor Moon, the rerun worked to amend the 90’s-isms and political correctness that sanitized numerous characters’ storylines. With Eva, the English dub that’s being replaced is the one that everyone knows and doesn’t need to be fundamentally fixed other than a couple pitchy delivery errors from Shinji or Misato’s lines. As with most redubs, it’ll be interesting to see how it goes, but it’ll also be way more jarring because of the uncanny valley that comes from hearing a fresh polished contemporary dub of an older grainier anime.
  21. By 6th grade, “crap” and “shit” were in my main vocabulary when I was mad. Had no one to curse at so most of my swearing was done through sex jokes.
