DitF shat the bed earlier by focusing on the doomed love triangle and teen drama crap, but then when they played their cards on what the main plot would be, that turned out to be even crappier. The best part about the show is the Zero Two flashback episode, the main couple’s big confession, and rubbing one out to hentai of Zero Two and Kokoro. Otherwise, it did a good job at disappointing everyone very early on unlike Trigger’s other efforts (save for Kiznaiver and Where Magic Becomes Commonplace)

They have an adventure mode too! I liked the 3DS Smash Run, but it’s good to see them piling on more content this time around outside of the roster. Twintelle, Ocelot, and Shantae being only collectibles though T_T

Some of them work, but outside of the obvious exclusions, I’m left wondering why they didn’t choose Twisted Metal 2 or Persona 2 EP when those are considered far better than their predecessors.

I often ignore dubs unless it’s in video games, but I will say that one big problem is that the language barrier makes it easier for us English speakers to hold Japanese voice acting to lower standards because we can’t tell what bad acting, stilted dialogue, or melodrama looks like unless we’re hit over the heads with it like with Asta’s yelling. One scene that made me come to this realization is the big moment where Zero Two and Hiro apologize to each other in Darling in the Franxx. The English dub for this scene is fuckin terrible, but I would honestly have a hard time finding who could make lines like “I called you fodder!” work without dialing the melodrama up to eleven. I wouldn’t know if the original was good by Japanese acting standards but it just “sounds right” as Japanese anime voice acting. Meanwhile, you just have to pray that the script direction or ADR for the English dub is able to allow the voice actors to act naturally if you don’t want the dub to sound stilted or corny. Whereas “I won’t forgive you, you bastard!” might just sound like another cool shout from a seiyuu, it’ll sound like a high school drama production in English. But I can’t fault English actors or actresses when making cheesy dialogue sound normal would be a tough order to fill. I don’t know who I’d trust to make the line “The only good goblins are the ones that don’t come out of their stinking holes” sound like it wasn’t a line from a high school drama play other than someone legendary like Jamieson Price or Kyle Herbert

I do tune out a little during some of the plot, but I am liking the show and it’s nice to have on in the background. I think seeing it as a reboot of a tokusatsu show from ‘93-94 helps to set the tone for the anime as something with the charm of shows like the old SSSS or Power Rangers where you have teens hanging out before monsters show up for Gridman to fight. I’m also liking the line that Akane in particular has to straddle between being a normal student and pushing monsters on people she hates. I’m also enjoying the show for largely superficial reasons

I think he was personally pumped up about being a part of the role because he got into Witcher 3. As long as the scripts good, I think he'd be able to do Geralt justice.

There was one time I found gummy spiders (ones that weren't sour) and they were amazing, but I couldn't find them afterwards. Good stuff though. Have a bag of candy to hand out, but I personally enjoy anything that's peanut butter & chocolate, Mounds/Almond Joy, or gummy candy. Skittles, Starbursts and Jolly Ranchers are pretty good too.
