Trader Joe’s is more reliable for everyday food. Other than a few niche things, Whole Foods is somewhere I go if I can’t find something anywhere else. For some reason, the beer at Whole Foods is cheaper than other nearby grocery stores.

Honestly, Will Smith's Genie was the only part that impressed me about the new trailer. It still has the same issue as Beauty & the Beast in having the whole thing feel artificial, like a story that's happening on a cheap movie set or a stage rather than a living breathing world.

Used to love playing MK at the arcades, mostly through MK2 and UMK3. Had some chances to play home versions of other MK titles, but the only ones I owned were MK2 & MK9. My main favorite characters were Johnny Cage, Liu Kang, Sindel, Kung Lao, and Sub Zero. The first four because I've been able to do well playing as them and the last guy because he was cool in the 90's. I also like Rain but only cause of the Prince reference. My least favorite characters are Baraka and Reptile because, with each new installment, they become more and more dopey. Baraka just felt like they deliberately made him and his clones primitive inbreds while Reptile's gradual transformation into a lizardman also made knawing on bones his defining personality trait.

In this adaptation, Luffy will refuse to become King of the Pirates because a young girl will join the Straw Hat Crew to tell him that piracy was wrong.

Of course, they'd do a friggin' Spriggan adaptation

I've been keeping up with the anime, but I've also been reading up on spoilers. Seems like there are still questions yet to be answered like who the bride or the childhood friend could be. I'm hoping Miku wins, but I've been obsessed with Ichika recently. Her character pulled me in with the anime from the fireworks episodes onwards and in the manga... I'd also be cool with Yotsuba winning, but Ichika and Miku are my top two.

Next season is looking great too with Carol & Tuesday and Kimetsu no Yaiba. Maybe Sarazanmai. And the sequels to OPM and AoT depending on if that’s something promising.

Vic's behavior has been creepy for years, but there is definitely a deeper issue behind making cons a safer place, especially for younger fans, when convention culture means being in the same room as a handful of potential cat-beaters or Hazukari's. It certainly doesn't help that Vic's situation was the writing-on-the-wall that even the talent at an anime con can't be trusted to behave responsibly.

There's also an upcoming biopic about him starring Chris Hemsworth, so there's that too.

I saw an episode and should watch more of it, but got caught up on other things. Maybe sometime down the road I'll get around to watching the rest.

Every time I hear New Rules, I expect one of them to be to do the audio equivalent of raising an eyebrow at the camera after saying the n-word.
