Insipid
One thing that's really pissing me off is Republicans complaining Kamala didn't concede defeat early enough when Trump never officially accepted the results of the 2020 election. I also am hearing that Democrats' reaction to Hillary losing is the reason January 6 happened. Some are even going so far as to saying Democrats are gonna have our own January 6. I swear, some people's worldviews always need adversaries to work, regardless of how much it matches reality. The energy just is not the same as a Trump defeat woukd be. Republicans are in control and they love to gut education. Test scores in reading and math scores have declined across the country. COVID screwed over a lot of people on education and we need to fix that if we're going to be competitive in the workplace. Increased funding for those schools, trade schools for people who can't afford college loans (themselves a punchline in the modern day), etc. There are solutions, but we need to implement them on the local and state levels. The late 90s and early 2000s made reading seem cool to people. We had constant adaptations of the classics as teen dramas and romantic comedies (Ten Things I Hate About You being a teen romcom version of The Taming of the Shrew) and a lot of children's visual media made it a point to encourage kids to read. We don't have that now, not helped by a lot of authors in the kid and YA spaces complaining about being stifled with their writing. You have to make reading cool again by taking off the handcuffs. Reina Telgemire and Dav Pikey can't carry the load themselves.

We picked up on trolls and memes and everything before they were really weaponized. We know the symptoms. Older people take it at face value and younger people are too easily molded by it because they don't know anything before it. This is why misinformation won this election 5
