RainyDayJizz#35 Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 I need a new job and looking at craigslist for 20 minutes is already irritating me. Is there a grown person with skills method of looking for jobs I don't know about because I mostly don't interact with people besides casually?
Doom Metal Alchemist Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Fuck craigslist. I don't know if I would say I had much luck with sites like Monster, CareerBuilder, Indeed, etc, but they're better than craigslist. 3
Naraku4656 Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 posting here so i remember to comment later when i come back
Swimmod_Luna Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Indeed was always my go to. I just had like 12 different keywords I would use to search and it would save them so every day I would just go through the list of stuff to see what was new. You can upload your resume and it will highlight jobs where you match the qualifications. You can also mark that you're looking for a job and supposedly employers will contact you though I've only ever gotten spam that way

So Indeed and Careerbuilder... I figured I would have to join something. I need to update my resume too, ugh. I miss want ads.
Naraku4656 Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 i used linkedin. i think you're in the same field as me. most of them use that

midnight Posted November 2, 2019 Posted November 2, 2019 Craig's List is only good for finding someone to kill you, or piss on you, literally. Also a nice place to find stolen puppies for sale. 2

Distortedreasoning Posted November 2, 2019 Posted November 2, 2019 im a professional. easiest way is to go to the companies website and apply directly. also check your unemployment office. sometimes they got resources that can hook you up better than all those other online search engines.

Craigslist is only good for finding used cars, guitars, and/or people to kill. (That is, if you're into that sort of thing.) Which reminds me...I need to look up some electric guitars to replace the one I had to sell before I moved. I wish I didn't have to sell it. 2

rpgamer Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 Really depends on the career you're looking for, though. For myself, the field I'm in doesn't really have a strong presence on Indeed, so it was of little use. At that point, you go hunting for sites with a narrower purpose that companies in the field gravitate to.
