One was in the college office when I was in school, one was 3 days a week and the other was opposite days of the first...

i know i'd get confused with scheduling. "ok which job am i supposed to go to now? wait shit, i'm at the wrong place"

I guess I have 2 but it's not because I need the second one...I'm just doing it because they asked me to come back.  I like the leverage there because I can do whatever the fuck I want and no one says shit to me because they fired me once for bringing my kids with me, and then begged me to come back.

It was so weird because I used to sleep, watch porn, and drink all on camera and no one said shit....But someone saw my kids with me one night when I couldn't find their mother and ratted me out.  Now I just do whatever because wtf are you going to do...Fire me and hire another thief.....You know I don't need to be here, so we can both just relax.

I'm just sticking around 2 nights a week until they find someone I trust.....They are trying to add Friday and I was like lol

Most I guess was 3, but I mean it was Subway, and 2 student work study jobs....I don't really count that but whatever in the theme of the thread.

i don't think i've ever been asked back to a job. well technically i guess i have. the job i have currently i originally turned down because the offer was too low, the manager came back and asked me to reconsider and make a counter offer. it's the ONLY time i've ever had that happen so i did, and minus a couple bucks they did. after all that though, i'm still technically making less money than i was at my last job even though the salary is higher but whatever i'm already here.

other time was that i had a company ghost me after the third interview, and then come back like 8 months later and ask if i was still interested (after i was already in negotiations with my current job) and i was just like "nah"

Well the second job is just a job...Being asked back isn't an accomplishment....It's just night audit at the hotel I worked for when I first moved here.....I've actually quit the job several times and asked to come back but this last time was on them.  It's just something to do on the nights my kids stay with their mother because I barely sleep as it is and I can still sleep 4 hours up there no problem if I have to.

i've only gone back to a job once, but it was at a different location. it was when i was folding clothes for JCPenney. first i did it in NJ for a summer job during high school and then Maryland for a summer job during college

Two.

Initially, I worked in a warehouse for my main job but then that switched to working as a cook. The second job remained the same, which was my side business of flipping things I got at auctions, thrift stores, and yard sales.

really? i only ever remember you talking about your chef positions. i thought you'd been doing that for a bunch of years now.

It's been an on and off thing. Been doing the chef thing for the past 4ish years, though.

can you help us settle a bet on discord? is boiled chicken a thing? i don't mean for like chicken soup or whatever, but is that something people ask for? someone was bringing it up as something she does to "cleanse the chicken before eating it" and we all were like "the fuck are you talking about"

there was a night on discord where a user was stating that some people in the south boil chicken before grilling it or doing something else to it. and none of us had EVER heard of it, but the person swore up and down that it was a thing.

I have boiled ribs before grilling just to speed things up if I'm trying to feed a fuckton of people, but who the hell boils chicken.

i'm not going to call out the user arguing for it, but Rogue and some other folks were there to witness that this was a conversation that did happen

Yes it is. You might see this as an alternative to rotisserie chicken or to quickly make chicken that can be easily shredded. I never do this, though. Poaching maybe but not full on boiling.

As for cleansing the chicken I am unsure of that even being true. You remove things from the chicken when boiling it for too long so if anything else it's going to taste a little worse, imo. And when people boil their chicken they usually add other ingredients to the pot, too, but it sounds like this is just the chicken going solo.

The whole deal came about because I mentioned boiling chicken a little bit (totally brain farted on the term though both then as well as right now) to speed up the cooking process or whatever

Said user came in and explained it in much better detail.

Mind you this *all* came up because OP can't cook chicken apparently. :P

I currently have one job, but the most I've had is two.

Was working part-time at the shelter every other weekend, then got my full-time gig at the firm. Did that for quite a while, but I was starting to get burned out. Plus there were a lot of changes going on at the shelter that I didn't' agree with, so I ended up leaving. Miss my coworkers there, but that place was a mess...

I work my real job and my internship which only pays in experience.

I did the same thing at the end of undergrad and I'm not sure how I survived.

Not really sure how i'm doing it now. I'm just in a continuous state of exhaustion. Then these fuckers cut off the wifi so I can't even do my school work when I have down time.

Also

My mom boils chicken breasts or tenderloins for shredded chicken for chicken salad. I've seen her boil some wings before frying it. I've never seen anyone boil chicken to clean it.

So, you boil chicken before putting it on the grill?
