Should I mention why I'm drinking? I think I will. lmao

I was a deepwater lifeguard for two summers. I go to the Cal gym to go swimming, kinda as a therapy cause I love the water. My new haircut is covering my face, and making it hard to breathe in the water. People come up to me and tell me I'm an inexperience swimmer. I'm so embarrassed I just leave. lmao

Of what I actually consider a sport, two-hand touch football.

Of the choices on the poll except for other, videogames, which I don't really consider a sport (or reading or card games).

Since those weird choices are on there, I may as well go with "other" and say guitar. :P

i only put them there since i know a few here would say that lol.

where do you even get the people to play?

do you like go to the park and start throwing dodge balls at random people?

I arranged everything myself. Got all our equipment, reserved half courts/rooms if needed, provided water, and would sometimes cook after to sweeten the deal. We averaged 10 players 3 days a week, but we'd get up to ~20 somedays.

Anyone that was walking by that wanted to join was welcome but most people just liked to observe. Drew little crowds when we had bigger matches or played any of our special game modes like FFA dodgeball or Captain America Dodgeball (with shields).

Wait.....wut?

We changed the rules while we figured it out but ultimately it worked out to having X amount of shields per team. The shields were various things, like boogie boards or trashcan lids. Players with shields could block, deflect or assist their teammates. You'd have to hit the shield users like any other player to get them out but the shield made it harder obviously. It was usually only 2 shields per team so most people played more traditionally.

All my uncles and cousins playesd basketball. He assumed that because me and my other female cousin were tall too that we would also play basketball. Ended up playing volleyball instead.

Oh he's one of those. I similarly infuriated my father and both my grandfathers when I refused to take up either engineering or the Air Force because that's what everyone else did. So I know that goes.

Although, one grandfather died when I was like 6 so idk what dude expected me to tell him.

Him: YA GOTTA CONTINUE THE PROUD LINEAGE OF MECHANICS AND ENGINEERS!

6yo me: I wanna be a ninja turtles.
