Ah...

I'm studying Ripple and Block chain tech this week to make an executive proposal for a new payment systems hub that needs to happen in 13 months or costs the company 220mm.

But, we all have shit going on I know.

interesting, i wasn't aware banks were getting into blockchain but i guess that makes sense. it's interesting to hear what kind of technology people in other sectors are studying in.  i like to try to keep myself at least close to what the market is looking for in case i ever want, or need, to make a jump.

Well... Let's say... It's the blind leading the blind at this point.

I've been flown around the country to listen to "experts" on it... And they really don't know shit.

I'm spearheading the entire thing for my company.

It'll work. It has to.

i kind of figured that. blockchain isn't a very mature technology but really neither is big data and i always hear people going on about that.

linux is a bit longer in the tooth, and i know a lot of it already but i'm getting tired of constantly making threads about not being able to find a new job. so if i can't market what i already have, then i either need a broader skillset or a better resume.

i'd like to think that a broader skillset will have a more interesting resume come along with it

Yeah I used to use Linux as a desktop OS. I would if I didn't play a lot of Windows only games.

I do use it on all my servers though.

alcohol is as much of a drug as marijuana is at least.. Both are readily absorbed and processed by the human body probably due to evolution, but whatevs.. If I could smoke bud during my job transitions it would help me so much... I've been dead tired of the whole weed prohibition since I was old enough to know better so I just wish the fed government here in the U.S. would end the shit.

I guarantee you, even if it becomes federally legalized, a lot of jobs will still test for it. It's not like once it happens, every company in America is just gonna be like, "Welp, stoners are in now, fuck it." Nah. Businesses aren't just going to flip the switch on that.

My point is, your pain will never end.

Well Skiles that's kind of how I've looked at  it for a while...but it still doesn't change the fact that the federal government places it on the same schedule as meth herion, and crack... I failed a drug test once in my many years of being partial to the substance, and it made me feel like complete shit.. especially being law enforcement at the time so that's only reinforceed my beliefs that new, and more lenient legislation needs to be passed..

It should be treated as alcohol is , and I don't think anyone can change my mind about that.

I don't disagree. And I don't think a lot of managers and district managers disagree. But you know how them corporations be. Weed is drug, drug is bad, that sort of nonsense.
